Bournemouth Welsh Recruitment

Sat Sep 21, 2019 12:05 pm

First Brookes, then Mepham and now Wilson.

Surely when we were in premier league, we could compete with Bournemouth for Brookes and Mepham, Welsh players?

Brookes not much more money than Reid or Murphy and look at him now and what he has delivered for Bouremouth compared to what the other two have delivered for us.

We would never get Wilson on loan because of our playing style but again look what he is delivering for Bournemouth. Take Wilson and Mount out of Derby and they are a shadow of last year's side. We would never get Mount or similar on loan either.

Frustrating.

We loaned Camarasa and Arter without a problem

Perhaps it will only change when our manager retires

Same discussion with same answers firstly if trying to loan players they need to want to come here same with their club? Then theres style of play will it enhance them and thirdly do our manager want them? All 3 answers apply to buying a player! This is same for nearly every club not just city... would Wilson want to come to city or Bournemouth want him to? Definitely no both questions. So theres problem in nut shell.

Warnock said he tried for Brooks.

But why would Brooks want to come here to a newly promoted club ahead of Bournemouth?

We loaned Arter and Camarasa at the very last moment and certainly not without a problem.

Arter wanted to play Football but wasn't inundated with offers (this is the reason he is playing in the Championship this season) and Camarasa was also a last minute one that that very few people knew very little about.

We don't have anyone on loan at the moment even though our squad needs it, there is a reason for this, and you can work that out for yourself.

We didn't loan them, their clubs loaned them to us. :old:

Money plain and simple all player transfers are motivated by the greed of their agents

Loans are not all about money.
The players already have the commitment from their club to pay their wages. Loans are about where players and the club they are contracted to see they can best play, either to return to their club and fight for a starting position or be in the shop window for a move if the former not going to happen. Ramsey coming to us after injury prime example.

Not if we were paying under half of what AFC Bournemouth were.

In all honesty its good to see Eddie Howe doing such good work for welsh football :laughing6: . He's taken David Brooks to a new level and is doing the same with Harry Wilson and Chris Mepham. Just need Ethan Ampadu, Connor Roberts and Joe Rodon to go there now. The most important man in welsh football now that Osian is gone
