SATURDAY WAS AN EMOTIONAL DAY FOR ME

Tue Aug 24, 2010 6:00 pm

after the game on saturday the first thing i wanted to do was ring my dad and discuss the game, somthing i used to do after every single match.

unfortunatley my dad passed away last year after a long battle with cancer  he was a die hard bluebird through and through and he was at ninan park when we beat real madrid, he loved Cardiff City so much and he loved football in general. Craig Bellamy was one of his favourite players because of the skill and the passion he shows on the pitch, he would of loved to have seen bellamy in a city shirt and i just wish he was still here to see it.

i know hes still watching the mighty bluebirds from above and this is going to be our year :ayatollah:

Your Dad will have been looking down from football heaven. With him would have been Brian Clark, Robin Friday, Fred Keenor and the rest of our greats and all our fans including my grandads. All of them would have had a huge smile on their faces.

There are a lot of us who have the same thing going on - i always feel like he's around me every game (thats my dad not yours lol).

Think how lucky you are to have seen a great player sat to add to your memories - because your Dad had his lol he probably notched up a few more than you ;) - your playing catch up! :)

Saturday was a special day for true bluebirds old and young and one that will go down in history - and i hope your right with this being our year! :D

To those who doubt the power of football they should read the posts above. That is why football is the greatest game of earth because it is so much more than just a game.
