Sat Jan 25, 2020 2:06 pm
I dare not say virtually the first team
But Neil Harris has named a very very strong team today
Sat Jan 25, 2020 2:07 pm
Strong team apart from woeful central defensive pairing.
Sat Jan 25, 2020 2:10 pm
Yes a strong line up though quite a few owe a good performance and will probably make way next tuesday.

Martin, exactly and that’s how Neil Harris is working so far, rotating his team until he feels he has the right team

I thought Bamba looked well short of his best against QPR and one or two others really need to step up,Vaulks especially as his performance against this lot in the league was standout poor.

Leandro Bacuna is preferred at right back to Jazz Richards, with Lee Peltier having not recovered from that dead leg he sustained against Swansea City in the FA Cup, and he will have dreadful memories from earlier in the season.
Bacuna was picked in Peltier’s stead at the beginning of the season and had a horrific opening 20 minutes at right back as the Royals tore the Bluebirds apart. So it will be a big test for him today, however the chief tormentors that day, Ovie Ejaria, John Swift and, of course, George Puscas, are not involved for the hosts, which will be music to Bacuna’s ears.
Elsewhere, there is no sign of Cameron Coxe, who played in both legs against Carlisle, which might perhaps nod to a loan spell in the not-so-distant future.
No striker is named on the bench, either, with Danny Ward ruled out through concussion protocol. That probably speaks volumes about where Omar Bogle currently stands.
But otherwise that is a very strong Cardiff City outfit and they have every chance of coming away from Berkshire with a win today.
If, of course, they banish those horrible memories of the August thrashing here in the league.

Ned
Be careful might have the usual brigade suddenly and only appear in here to have another snipe
Neil Harris rotates his squad a lot.
Today Harris has named his strongest 11 available to him today in my opinion, other than Lee Tomlin.

According to transfer market he was 20 years and 1 month old at the time of transfer. His birthday is given as 29 June 1999 meaning (I hope ) that he joined us in July of last year.

2 slow centre half’s, and weak midfield. Worry about this.
Sat Jan 25, 2020 2:53 pm
Disagree that is the strongest team available to NH
Surely Nelson and Morrison are the best centre back pairing ?
Sat Jan 25, 2020 2:54 pm
Assume it’s the last we’ve seen of Cameron coxe then... one youngster on the bench...
Sat Jan 25, 2020 2:56 pm
If Coxe was good enough he would be in the squad or starting line up.
I am all for playing youth but if they ain’t good enough they ain’t good enough - should be picked on merit IMO

Think he's going out on loan tbh

Not a very very strong team three of three of our four best defenders were missing. I think it is now established that Nelson and Morrisson are outperform best defensive pairing and Bacuna should never be allowed to play at full back. Also Tomlin is our player of the season and he didn't play. All in all there were seven changes from the team that played Birmingham. That said Reading made 11 changes from their last match and really we should have beaten such a weak Reading side. At least we are in the draw for the next round but if Harris is really serious about the cup he should play his best team rather than rotate.
These endless succession of draws are getting boring, you can see why Milwall got fed up with him.

Never mind Slade he is also Hibbit with all these draws
Again too many players taking the extra touch ,we really need another wide man, Josh is completely off the pace at the moment
