MY VIEW: NEIL HARRIS PICKED VIRTUALLY HIS STRONGEST TEAM & S

Sat Jan 25, 2020 4:53 pm

My View/ Opinion:

NEIL HARRIS PICKED VIRTUALLY HIS STRONGEST TEAM & SAID HE LOVES THE FA CUP & REALLY WANTED TO WIN TODAYS GAME.

Mendez-Laing, Jazz Richards, Lee Peltier and Danny Ward were all ruled out Injured.

For me I thought Harris would of started Lee Tomlin.

80th min Red card! Tom McIntyre was sent off after a horrible challenge on Paterson. :thumbright:

81st min Sol Bamba missed an open goal.

Second-half Cardiff were by far the better team :thumbright: :bluebird:

First-half:end to end stuff, but Cardiff to be fair took it to Reading :thumbright: :bluebird:

Over all a good first=half :thumbright: :bluebird:

A note over the speaker system warns Cardiff fans for allegedly singing racist and homophobic chants.

Cardiff fans were signing to the Reading manager you Jack b*stard, have they made a mistake the officials??

Reading made 11 changes from their last game out.

So Cardiff in to the 5th Round draw, but first have to beat Reading home ion a replay at Cardiff :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

FACUP 4TH RD.

READING 1 CARDIFF CITY 1
Crowd
Away Support 2,270

5th min Callum Paterson scored 1nil City , a nod in from 6yards :bluebird: :bluebird:

8th min, Charlie Adams tore our defence apart, woeful defending by Cardiff 1-1

Joe Ralls off, Marlon Pack came on.

Reading had a goal disallowed, but their first goal looked def offside.

Cardiff certainly attacked Reading, but over all end to end.

H/T 1-1

Good start by Cardiff :bluebird:

Again both sides attacking each other, end to end :bluebird:

Murphy off, Hoilett came on.

80th min Red card! Tom McIntyre was sent off after a horrible challenge on Paterson. Second yellow. Reading were down to 10 men.

81st min Sol Bamba missed an open goal.

86th min Paterson headed just wide!

It was all Cardiff.

We dominated, just couldn't get that winner.

Bamba should have scored, I have no idea how he missed.

I think Harris will continue to take it seriously, I think he knows we don't have much chance of top six and a cup run would be good.

Josh murphy needs to be away from starting 11 a long time awful

True. Replay at the fortress. NH a genius

Not good enough against readings B team especially with more or less our full team out bar 1 or 2, at one point they had a 5th choice centre back on the pitch. Don't understand why none of them can cross a ball properly what do they do in training?

Any replay date set?

Re: MY VIEW: NEIL HARRIS PICKED VIRTUALLY HIS STRONGEST TEAM

Sat Jan 25, 2020 5:04 pm

Lets hope there are few players coming in next week, three games on the bounce at home and a chance to progress to the 5th round in the cup as well.
Lets hope its the same price structure as well for the game at home ie £7

Agreed, thought we played ok today (I sneaked looks on a stream at work,we just need that killer touch in goal, and in honesty reading would have had no complaints if it ended 3 or 4 -1 can't believe Bamba trying to head that chance! Would have been better off tapping it in.we are still in the draw, although could probably do without another game. :old: :bluebird:

Insult that Reading put out a second string side...either thinking it would be good enough to beat the mighty Bloobirds it, more likely couldn't be arsed with FA Cup

A replay in front of 7000-8000 fans.

It’s an unwelcome replay and with % of ticket sales going to reading will probably not make much money for the club

180k for each team who wins in this round

If that was our strongest team and let's be honest Harris has no idea wat is then it wasn't good enough.
He is completely out of his depth with our club.

Completely

Our squad just isn't good enough, Bamba is struggling to get back to anything like the player he was last year and the rest are just average players at best.

That was the strongest 11 we could have picked and we couldn't beat Reading's reserves.

Re: MY VIEW: NEIL HARRIS PICKED VIRTUALLY HIS STRONGEST TEAM

Sat Jan 25, 2020 5:54 pm

My view of our best 11

Etheridge

Richards
Morrison
Nelson
Bennett

Vaulks
Ralls
Bacuna

Tomlin

Glatzel
Paterson

So I would have made about 5 changes before calling this our main team. Fact is we're more suited to playing a narrow formation with 2 strikers and Tomlin behid, because we have absolutely NO capable wingers other than Mendez-Laing.

Hoilett has lost it, I think it's an age thing and possibly a Warnock not being here thing too. Murphy is not consistent enough to be a starter, and Whyte has scored 1 goal for us and offered nothing else since he's been here.

We don't have any wingers lol. It's embarrising. It was bad when our best wingers were Noone & Pilkington 4 years ago, but what we have right now seems even worse.

Should have won that. Aside from Bamba’s shocking miss there were plenty of chances which a decent striker would have put away.

No quality on any part of the pitch.

Hardly our strongest team, 7 changes from our last League game but agree we should have beaten a team who made 11changes and had a man sent off!
