Were you really expecting more than that?
I wasn't.
Fans have showed support buying season tickets, travelling away etc. The support has been there.
You can't really expect fans to keep dipping into their pockets, when the players on the field can't be bothered to put in a shift for the full 90 mins. It's happening to often.
Not having a go but that's how i see it.
Expect many will agree and disagree.

I did not think it would be that low.

£10 & £5 tickets

Not live on tv

FA Cup 4th Rd

I did honestly think it would be about 7-8,000

Definitely a poor attendance Annis.

For comparison round 1 and 2 of the Carabao Cup this year against Northampton and Cambridge we had 8,058 and 8,763 respectively.

I would have expected around the same for you tbh.

Cant blame fans for not wanting to watch Reading again after drawing to them last time out.

You aren’t in that bad shape though Chips.

Mid table in the Championship and a home 4th round FA Cup match.

Why? I dont go to watch the opposition- I go to watch Cardiff.
Cup attendances are low because of the clubs attitude to the competitions in recent years.

I was there tonight but buying tickets on the night cost £15 so myself and my Son forked out £30 tonight. To be fair I enjoyed the game and there was no lack of effort but it was really a game we should have won and it should never have gone to penalties. However once it went to penalties it was almost inevitable we would lose :(

3200 cant be dressed up as anything other than poor. That's just being honest, surely you have to agree?

it was a poor attendance..no season ticket holders not turning up just a poor attendance.. Cardiff fans tend to be honest..
I could say it was 23k because our ST holders were not there like you did.. but honesty is the best policy eh.

I didn't say anything. My stance was that the official figure was 14,000+, no ST's were sold while still in the PL so I find it highly doubtful it was as a certain source claims here, especially as the source has one of the biggest reputations for Swansea based fantasy tales. I said any sort of tangible proof and I would take a look.

If you consider that we had 8,000+ for a first round Carabao Cup game against League 2 opposition and then 8,700+ against another League 2 team - it seems highly unlikely we had 9,000 for a league game. :thumbright:

But logic is often seen as a capital punishment offence here...

You don't think I was sensible? :?

I asked question, showed why I was asking - and had some silly replies. You took it off topic to a wild claim about Swansea (God knows why), I told you that if there was any sort of evidence to it at all then I would look at it and explained why I didn't believe it.

You then spent the rest of the thread posting smileys and making silly comments, hijacking what was a pretty sensible thread. As I said, I can't control other people's behavior.

Ken Choo says the club won't dip into their pockets in the Championship so why should the supporters.

Re: Crowd 4,832 Only 638 more than the lowest crowd against

Wed Feb 05, 2020 6:56 am

Poor crowd but the Club didn't help themselves, playing the same team for the 3rd time in what 10 days.

2500 travelled to Reading for game 1, 22,500 there for game 2 on Friday, something had to give and that was last night.

How many a Reading? Looks about, 3/400 tops. Should have kept the adult tickets at £10 and done kids for a quid.

Re: Crowd 4,832 Only 638 more than the lowest crowd against

Wed Feb 05, 2020 7:03 am

I will just leave you all with this to think about.

If it had been Liverpool, Man City , Chelsea etc etc home £30 Adults / £20 Kids

Live on tv

Crowd would of been 30,000.

I just expected at least a crowd of 7,000.

Reading a much smaller club than us had over 12,000 incl 2,000 plus Cardiff fans
