Did you see the News today. The beaches and seaside resorts in England were rammed.
Time to shut the Wales/England border I think.
This is going to cause a massive backlash with Welsh people working over the border bringing the virus back into Wales.

Yes i did mate - loads on different seaside resorts - some will say it is Bank Holiday, but to be fair it's going to happen the rest of this week with the warm weather ahead - dry / warm weather into next week .

Your second point is so spot on - a few weeks ago there was a report put out of working over the border -

People working Wales to England 98,500 - People working England to Wales 42,700 .
These figures are people who go to work each day - On top of this we have deliveries in and out WAL-ENG each day etc...

Wales' lockdown measures decision to be announced Friday

Any easing of Wales' coronavirus lockdown measures will be announced on Friday by the Welsh Government, a minister has confirmed.

Welsh ministers are due to review the lockdown regulations on Thursday before an announcement the following day.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced plans for all non-essential retailers in England to be able to reopen from 15 June.

Welsh Health Minister Vaughan Gething said the government would continue to take a "cautious" approach to easing the regulations in Wales.

What's the latest in the UK?
Here's a round-up of what's been happening in the UK so far today:

Plans for "local lockdowns" to tackle future outbreaks of coronavirus could involve shutting individual schools and workplaces, a minister said. The health secretary is expected to outline the contact tracing system later

The government's furlough scheme is now paying the wages of 8.4 million employees, while a further 2.3 million self-employed
workers are claiming support due to the pandemic

Paramedics in Wales report that they are increasingly facing aggression from suspected Covid-19 patients when asking them to wear face masks, and some ambulance staff have been assaulted

Premier League clubs have voted to resume contact training as the league moves towards restarting the season "when conditions allow"

BREAKING
Premier League football to return on 17 June

Dan Roan

BBC Sports editor

Premier League football is set to restart on 17 June, the BBC has learned.

The first games are understood to be Aston Villa v Sheffield Utd and Manchester City v Arsenal - the games in hand.

A full fixture list will then be played on the weekend beginning 19 June. Clubs are still discussing the idea at a meeting now, but it is understood all have agreed in principle at this stage.

BREAKING
People from two different homes 'will be able to meet' outside

Coronavirus restrictions in Wales are likely to be relaxed next week so people from two different households can meet each other outdoors, BBC Wales understands.

They will need to stay two metres apart, and stay in their local area.

The changes will not come into force until Monday.

Other parts of the UK have loosened restrictions on meeting others.

Further details are expected from First Minister Mark Drakeford on Friday.

It has been illegal for groups of more than two people to meet since lockdown began in March.

It is likely the Welsh Government will continue to emphasise caution in lifting the regulations.

Markets, sports sites and house sales part of next review

Other than the changes announced to the lockdown rules that will be introduced from Monday, current guidelines to protect people from coronavirus will stay in place for the time being.

But Mark Drakeford said the Welsh Government would consider further easing at the next review on 18 June.

Reopening non-essential retail
Increasing capacity for childcare and public transport to support a wider return to work
Facilitating moving house to boost the housing market
Reopening outdoors sites, including outdoor markets, sports courts, outdoor showrooms, and outdoor museums
Reopening facilities for non-professional elite athletes to train safely

Chancellor confirms job furlough scheme to close in October

Chancellor Rishi Sunak has outlined details of the extension to the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.

The scheme currently allows businesses to keep salaried staff contractually employed, but not working, while the government pays 80% of their incomes. The plan was put into place in March to keep workers at home and stave off a raft of redundancies as the economy ground to a halt.

Sunak has said furloughed staff will be able to work part-time in their old roles from July. Individual firms will decide the hours their employees will work on their return.

As indicated earlier this month, the subsidy will taper off from August, with businesses expected to pay a greater share of their staff salaries, starting with covering National Insurance and pension contributions.

From September the government will cover only 70% of salaries, to a cap of £2,190 and from October it will pay 60%, to a cap of £1,875. Employers will make up the shortfall to get salaries back to 80% of pre-Covid lockdown levels.

Live Premier League football to be free on BBC

Oliver Dowden says a third of the Premier League matches to finish the season will now be free to view, including the Liverpool-Everton derby.

"Live Premier League football will be on the BBC for the first time in its history," he says.

He adds there is a serious public health benefit of getting people to watch at home.

Sport can resume behind closed doors from 1 June

Competitive sport will be allowed behind closed doors in England from 1 June, paving the way for the first live action in almost three months, Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden says.

Lockdown does not prevent people from going out to shops ect and only takes one or more infected people to escalate the spread of virus... lockdown as worked particularly here otherwise we would have problem at local hospital....

your never going to get people who crashed economies , spent billions and caused tens of thousands of deaths to admit they got it wrong mate.... they are going to carry on pretending people who are tested positive but asymptomatic which is the huge majority would be dead if they hadn't been in lockdown

We should be hearing from the UK government in the next 30 minutes, but first let’s take a look at the latest headlines.

Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has defended the government's easing of lockdown measures in England from Monday despite the country's Covid-19 alert system still indicating high levels of transmission

A letter has been sent by 26 senior UK academics and health officials to Prime Minister Boris Johnson warning that public faith in the government has been "badly damaged" by Dominic Cummings' trip to County Durham

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has said Scotland will stay on a "slow and steady" route out of restrictions as the country enters its third day of eased restrictions

Vulnerable people in England and Wales who have been advised to stay inside their homes since the coronavirus lockdown began will be able to go outdoors again from Monday
