Yes, but those cases are rare. You could also say there was a 92 year old guy on tv today who has recovered. Mind you, negative bias should be countered by pointing out different outcomes. I wish the bloody media would start.

7%...….aged 40 to 59
1%...under the age of 40 .

2 were in the 40 - 59 with both stories on the BBC. The other, the 21 year old was from a colleague of mine describing his neighbour. I think I read a story the day before about a similar incident but cant remember where I got it from. This was not really about age but more about how quickly this develops in some people and may be the advice to stay home as long as possible needs to be looked at. That's probably just not here. I know nothing about these things but I suspect the earlier you get some assistance with difficult breathing the better. As an aside the 60 - 80 year olds who came off the Diamond Princess and straight into a Japanese hospital seemed to have an outcome better than the rest of the world population in general.

UK Easter Sunday death peak 'perfectly possible'

The deadliest peak of the UK's coronavirus outbreak could be on Easter Sunday, Health Secretary Matt Hancock has said.

Asked about reports that the death rate could peak on 12 April, Mr Hancock told Sky: "I defer to the scientists on the exact predictions, I'm not going to steer you away from that.

"That is one perfectly possible outcome."

According to the most recent figures from Thursday, 2,921 people in the UK have died with the virus. The total rose by 569 from 2,352 the day before, which was the biggest day-on-day increase so far.

Coronavirus: Fears for lockdown over weekend of sunshine

Police face "one of their biggest challenges" of the lockdown this weekend as sunny weather risks drawing crowds to parks and beauty spots.

Katy Bourne, Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner, told the BBC officers were telling the public to "hang on in there" and avoid unnecessary trips.

Ministers have said "stay at home" is an instruction, not a request.

And senior medics urged people to avoid travel for the sake of two nurses who died of coronavirus.

A forecast of warm weather in some areas this weekend has led to warnings from local councils, tourism bosses and police urging people to stay away from coastal areas, national parks and other visitor destinations.

Forecasters have predicted a temperature high of 20C in south-east England on Sunday, while southern Scotland and the Midlands could reach 16C and 19C respectively.

"This weekend is going to be one of the biggest challenges for policing so far," Ms Bourne told BBC Newsnight.

"We've been through a lot, it's very disruptive but let's not give up, let's hang on in there. It's a collective endeavour, this is ultimately about saving lives and not putting a strain on the NHS and our other emergency services."

What's the latest in the UK?

Here are the latest headlines regarding the outbreak in the UK:

The epidemic is set to plateau in the next week to 10 days, but people's behaviour is critical to determining what happens next, Prof Neil Ferguson, from Imperial College London, has told BBC Radio 4's Today programme

So far 3,605 people have died in the UK, according to figures released on Friday. Prof Ferguson said: "We want to move to a situation where at least by the end of May that we're able to substitute some less intensive measures, more based on technology and testing, for the complete lockdown we have now"

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has invited opposition leaders to discuss the response to the virus - including Keir Starmer, who has been elected as leader of the Labour party

Thirteen residents at a Glasgow care home have died in one week following a suspected outbreak of coronavirus

Up to 4,000 prisoners could be released from jails in England and Wales early, says the prison service. But those convicted of violent crimes and sex offences will be excluded from the scheme

Police and health officials are concerned the warmer temperatures forecast for much of the country this weekend will bring people out to parks and beauty spots

A lot happened on Saturday, as cases of Covid-19 across the globe surpassed 1.1 million and deaths rose above 62,000,

Here is a round-up of Saturday's key news:

In the UK, a five-year-old child was one of 708 people to die, in the highest death toll the country has seen in a single day so far. As hospital admissions have gone up in the Midlands and elsewhere, the head of NHS England said there was a long road ahead and appealed to everyone to remain at home wherever possible

During the government's daily briefing, minister Michael Gove described conspiracy theories linking the 5G mobile phone network to the coronavirus as "dangerous nonsense"

New York reported a record 630 deaths in 24 hours, as President Donald Trump announced that federal assistance would be focused on areas most in need

While the death toll in Italy rose to over 15,000, the head of the country's civil protection signalled some positive news, as the number of patients in intensive care fell for the first time. The daily reported number of deaths has been falling gradually in the past eight days

In Spain, 809 people died in the last 24 hours - the first time in three days that the daily death toll has been under 900. Spain's prime minister said the country was "close to passing the peak of infections" but extended lockdown measures until 26 April

Meanwhile in France, the number of deaths rose to 7,560

Outdoor exercise 'could be banned in the UK'

Outdoor exercise in the UK could be banned if people ignore the rules on staying at home and social distancing, the country's health secretary has warned.

Matt Hancock told the BBC's Andrew Marr that if people "flout the rules" then the government "will have to take action".

He said: "If you don't want us to have to take the step to ban exercise of all forms outside of your own home, then you've got to follow the rules."

We reported a few minutes ago that Mr Hancock said sunbathing was not allowed and it was "quite unbelievable" that people were still leaving their homes when it was not necessary.

He said the timing of restrictions being lifted would all depend on how people behave, saying "the more people stay at home the less the virus will spread".

Mr Hancock said that the goal for the number of ventilators now needed over the coming weeks is 18,000, and said currently they have between 9 and 10,000.

When asked about the number of nurses that had died of Covid-19 Mr Hancock said the latest figure was three deaths.

UK Labour Party 'would back outdoor exercise ban'

Labour, the UK's main opposition party, will back the government's possible plans to ban outdoor exercise if it was "necessary" to reduce the number of deaths from coronavirus.

Sir Keir Starmer, who was elected Labour leader on Saturday, told the BBC's Andrew Marr: "Every time people break the guidance from the government, they put other people at risk."

His comments come after Health Secretary Matt Hancock said if people continue to "flout the rules" then the government will ban exercise outside of the home.

Sir Keir said the focus has to be “what is necessary to reduce the number of deaths”.

In his first full day as Labour leader, Sir Keir said he was going to work with the government and not “score party political points”. He added: “I’m not going to demand the impossible.”

But he said the government had made "mistakes" and that Labour would "ask difficult questions".
