I don't go along with all the name calling as I accept the numerous points of view out there.
However, I wonder how many of the 100,000+ people that have died with covid related illnesses in UK along with many more others than this who recovered following hospitalisation would have similar thoughts, as their imune system failed them.
I should imagine they would have been only too grateful for an available vaccine to have helped prevent death or near death in other instances. But each to their own!

Indian variant could be 50% more transmissible than UK's, says Drakeford -

A variant of coronavirus first identified in India could be 50% more transmissible than the type dominant in the UK, First Minister Mark Drakeford has said.

Wales has so far reported 25 cases of a variant that has sparked concern in England.

Mr Drakeford said these were "primarily" in urban centres like Newport, Cardiff and Swansea.

He added there had not been "genuine community spread" of it in Wales.

But he told the BBC's Wales Live he was "right to be concerned" about the variant given the speed it was doubling in England.

He promised "targeted" additional vaccines in areas affected.

The UK government has rolled out surge testing and vaccinations after cases of the Indian variant spiked across the border.

So far the case rate has remained low in Wales.

You should take this Indian variant very seriously and have the pun jab, especially if you have a dodgy tikka. My mate had been in a korma for a week and has only just buried his naan.

Covid now 18th leading cause of death in Wales -

Covid-19 has now been overtaken by flu and pneumonia as a cause of death in Wales, latest mortality analysis shows.

For six of the past 13 months, Covid-19 was the biggest cause of death in Wales but in April it was the 18th leading cause.

There were 35 deaths due to Covid in April - 1.4% of all deaths, Office for National Statistics (ONS) figures showed.

This was also the largest month-on-month fall since the pandemic began.

It was a 81.5% fall compared to March.

The age standardised mortality rate was 12.6 deaths per 100,000 - the lowest since last September.

Heart disease, dementia/Alzheimer's disease and strokes are the biggest causes of death - while even flu and pneumonia have now overtaken Covid, although this is still two-thirds lower than the five-year average.

Its two thirds lower because all "flu" deaths have been added to the covid figures, or has flu statrted to disappear all of a sudden?

Covid: Test and Trace failure helped Indian variant spread, report says -

Failures in England's Test and Trace system are partly responsible for a surge in the Indian variant in one of the worst affected parts of the country, a report seen by the BBC says.

For three weeks in April and May, eight local authorities in England did not have access to the full data on positive tests in their area.

The number of missing cases was highest in Blackburn with Darwen, Lancashire.

A recent surge in infections there has been linked to the Indian variant.

The government said a Track and Trace "software issue" had affected a "handful" of places, but this had been resolved "as quickly as possible".

The other areas experiencing incomplete data were Blackpool, York, Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset, Southend-on-Sea and Thurrock.

Labour called on ministers to "explain what's gone wrong".

Covid in Wales: Care home visiting restrictions eased -

Many families and friends will be able to visit loved ones in care homes inside Wales and hold their hand for the first time in over a year.

Until now only two designated visitors could make visits indoors, due to guidance set by the Welsh government.

From Monday, changes in guidance allow anyone to visit, but residents can only see two people at a time.

However it is down to individual care homes and local authorities to decide whether to allow visits.

First Minister Mark Drakeford said the changes would "improve the quality of life for residents and their families".

The changes - which come as Covid case rates continue to fall - will allow care homes for adults and children to open their doors to more relatives and friends.

Covid Indian variant: Public should be worried, says Wales chief medic -

People "should be worried" about a resurgence in Covid, with an increase in cases of the Indian variant of concern, the Welsh government's chief medical officer says.

Dr Frank Atherton said the increase to "around 57" cases was "something we need to watch very carefully".

The total last Thursday was 28 cases of B617.2, the variant of concern.

Health minister Eluned Morgan repeated government advice that people take holidays at home to reduce the risk.

Dr Atherton said most cases of the variant of concern were in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, although they had been identified in all health board areas apart from Powys.

Covid: Government clarifies advice for areas in England worst-hit by Indian variant -

Advice for eight areas in England worst-hit by the Indian coronavirus variant has been updated after the government clarified that it was not imposing local restrictions.

There was confusion after guidance was published earlier covering Bolton, Blackburn, Kirklees, Bedford, Burnley, Leicester, Hounslow and North Tyneside.

It had asked people not to meet indoors or travel unnecessarily.

The updated advice asks people to minimise, rather than avoid, travel.

A government spokesperson said it wanted to "make it clearer we are not imposing local restrictions" in areas where the new variant is spreading.

"Instead, we are providing advice on the additional precautions people can take to protect themselves and others in those areas where the new variant is prevalent," the spokesperson said.

"This includes, wherever possible, trying to meet outdoors rather than indoors, keeping two metres apart from anyone you don't live with and minimising travel in and out of the area."

Covid: Matt Hancock should go over Cummings claims - Labour

Matt Hancock should go as health secretary following Dominic Cummings' claims that he lied about his handling of coronavirus, Labour has said.

Deputy leader Angela Rayner told the BBC Mr Hancock had "intentionally" misled colleagues and "thousands" in care homes had died as a result.

On Wednesday, Mr Cummings, the PM's ex-adviser, said the health secretary had lied and should have been sacked.

But Mr Hancock's spokesman "absolutely" rejected the claims.

He would continue to work closely with the prime minister in rolling out vaccines, he added.

The health secretary will appear in the House of Commons at around 10:30 BST to answer an urgent question tabled by Labour about the government's handling of Covid.

Covid-19: Up to 75% of new UK cases could be Indian variant - Matt Hancock

Up to three quarters of new UK Covid cases could be of the Indian variant, Health Secretary Matt Hancock has said.

Public Health England data shows cases of the variant have risen by 3,535 to 6,959 since last week.

Mr Hancock told a Downing Street briefing that the government had always expected cases to rise as restrictions were eased.

But he said it was "critical" to monitor the link between cases and hospitalisations.

On Thursday, a further 3,542 coronavirus cases and 10 deaths within 28 days of a positive test were reported in the UK.

It is the second day in a row the number of new Covid cases has topped 3,000 - the first time infections have reached this level since mid-April.

Over the last seven days, cases are up 20.5% compared with the week before.

Covid in Wales: Mixed message fears as fewer stick to rules -

The number of people sticking rigidly to Covid rules in Wales has dropped by up to a third, research suggests.

One expert who has analysed the results said there was concern "mixed messages" on the virus may have led to confusion.

One study by University College London suggests complete compliance with Covid rules fell from 60% in February to 40% in May.

The Welsh government said the emergence of new variants made it clear the pandemic was not over.

Another ongoing study by Public Health Wales (PHW), which quizzes people on how the pandemic and Covid restrictions are affecting their wellbeing, also suggests complete compliance with rules has dropped - from 76% in March to 65% in May.

Covid Indian variant: 'Difficult to hold the waters back' in Wales -

"It's going to be very difficult to hold the waters back" of an Indian variant of Covid-19 spreading from England to Wales, according to Health Minister Eluned Morgan.

She said there were currently no people in hospital as a result of the variant in Wales and no community spread.

But she said this was expected to change.

The Welsh government said there were less than 100 cases of the variant of concern, with a cluster in Conwy.

Baroness Morgan said the government had not seen community spread, with most of the cases coming as a result of travel abroad.

"We're likely to see that change in future weeks and I think it is going to be very difficult for us to hold the waters back from across England, so we've got to be ready for this," she told BBC Radio Wales' Sunday Supplement programme.

Covid-19: UK in early stages of third wave - scientist

There are signs the UK is in the early stages of a third wave of coronavirus infections, a scientist advising the government has said.

Prof Ravi Gupta, from the University of Cambridge, said although new cases were "relatively low" the Indian variant had fuelled "exponential growth".

He said ending Covid restrictions in England on 21 June should be postponed.

Environment Secretary George Eustice said the government could not rule out a delay to the planned lockdown easing.

But business leaders have warned of the harmful impact of any change to the proposed dates.

On Monday, the UK reported more than 3,000 new Covid infections for a sixth day in a row.

Prior to this, the UK had not surpassed that number since 12 April.

No deaths within 28 days of a positive test were reported in England, Wales or Northern Ireland - but one death was reported in Scotland.
