I'm beginning to hate these early (after weekends) weekday reports,as the always give false hope,as they are usually followed by a much larger number later on! Let's all hope these numbers continue to decline further and further from now on.although with the massive numbers protesting, this could soon go the other way :sad7: :old: :bluebird:

Of the 2k+ used as a figure of people dying of corvid in wales no one actually knows how many have died of it because if your ill with any symptoms or similar they count that person as dying of corvid!! Is using any deaths a scare tactic in wales to prop up WG decision making?

Not just in Wales mate. This is happening everywhere in the UK and from the start. It's why our figures seen high compared to other countries, the way we are reporting deaths is different to say Germany.

I published a very positive study yesterday, which the usual candidates ignored, it showed from a sample in Ireland not a single secondary transmission occured from children in schools with over a 1000 contacts! That's insane.

Another last week, again ignored. Only 253 healthy sub 60 year olds had died, average age over 80 and with 2 pre existing conditions. Kids under ages of 19 only 3 had died. Pretty good odds. To put in comparison they have more chance of getting struck by lightning.

Wont even get into the asymptotic figures.

We're learning more about this virus now. Time to get life moving.

Trouble is so called experts are using different studies to use depending on whos it for? As for moving not sure how fast drakeford can move but if had race with a tortoise he'd lose!! See boris says shops can open on 15th subject to normal rules of corvid.. we still got another two weeks before drakeford goes down his shopping list (his words) to see what he can do... but nothing for tourism we know that much.

All non-essential retailers will reopen from Monday June 15 as long as they can comply with Covid-secure guidelines published by the Government in May 25 ( England ) .

Local authorities will hold shops to account, if businesses are found to be flouting the latest safety measures.

Hairdressers and barbers did not make the cut, however, Mr Sharma suggested that July 4 had been set as a preliminary date for the reopening of bars, restaurants and pubs.

While local lockdowns have been discussed, a national approach continues to dictate the wider Government policy until Track and Trace can provide a much more detailed picture.

Hugs and handshakes might have returned to New Zealand but the UK's 2 metre distancing rules will remain in place (for the moment).

Earlier during Prime Minister's Questions, Boris Johnson said he wanted to keep the 2m (6ft) social distancing rule "under constant review" as the incidence of coronavirus comes down.

The government has come under pressure from MPs and businesses to relax the rule to a shorter distance to help the hospitality sector reopen.

The World Health Organization says that a distance of 1m is safe and some countries have adopted this guidance, while others, including the UK, have gone further.

PPE - Failure
Testing - Failure
Protecting care homes - Failure
Lockdown - Late
Herd immunity - U turn
Facemasks - U turn
Quarantine - U turn

DAMAGING BLOW SAY ITV

to the UK Govt

One of Boris Senior Advisors today told ITV

If Boris had lockdown a week earlier and listened at least 25,000 deaths would of been saved.

He was forced to resign as Boris would not listen.

Premier League plans pre-match tributes to virus victims

A minute's silence to remember those who have died with coronavirus is likely to take place before the first games after the Premier League restart.

The acknowledgement of the impact of the pandemic and the efforts of frontline workers is expected at the opening two games on 17 June and the first full round of fixtures.

Heart-shaped badges in tribute to the NHS are also set to be worn on kits.

The UK's economy shrank by 20.4% in April - the first full month of lockdown. That's the largest monthly contraction on record and is three times greater than the decline seen during the 2008 to 2009 economic downturn.

The number of people testing positive for coronavirus in England is continuing to fall, according to estimates from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

But ONS figures also show that the most-deprived parts of England and Wales have been hit twice as hard by coronavirus as the least-deprived. The most-deprived areas of England saw 128 deaths involving Covid-19 per 100,000 people in the population in March, April and May (once adjusted for the age of population). The least-deprived areas saw less than half that rate.

British Airways, Ryanair and EasyJet have filed a formal legal challenge to the government's quarantine policy, which they say will have "a devastating effect on British tourism and the wider economy" and destroy thousands of jobs.

Uber drivers and passengers in the UK will need to wear face coverings from Monday, the company has announced.

Infection R rate has risen ABOVE one in the South West of England - meaning the disease is spreading - as Britain announces 202 more Covid-19 deaths in the lowest increase on a Friday since March 20

202 today in the lowest Friday jump in 12 weeks, taking the UK's total victims to 41,481.

Today's announcement is lowest daily rise since March 20, when there were just 36 coronavirus fatalities

A further 1,541 people tested positive for the viral disease yesterday, taking total to 292,000

Officials warned today that the coronavirus's R rate is edging closer to dangerous level of one in England

The 'R' is between 0.8 and 1.0 across England, slightly higher than rest of the UK, where it is 0.7 to 0.9

In South West it sits between 0.8 and 1.1 after creeping up since lockdown eased. It is lowest in the East

There are fears of a second wave of the virus in Beijing after an outbreak at a wholesale market in the China's capital. Forty-five new cases have been recorded after the city went weeks without any new infections. The local area has now been put back under lockdown

Meanwhile in the UK, from today, people living alone in England and Northern Ireland are able to form a "support bubble" with another household. The rules are different in Wales and Scotland

Today is also the Queen's official birthday - but because of the pandemic, it was marked with a socially-distanced ceremony in Windsor instead of the traditional Trooping the Colour parade

Hundreds of people have been queuing outside shops after a relaxation of England's coronavirus lockdown allowed all retailers to reopen with strict safety measures. In Northern Ireland, non-essential shops reopened on Friday, but there is still no date for Scotland. The Welsh government is considering the reopening of non-essential shops, with the next lockdown review expected to be announced on Friday

A new rule requiring most people to wear face coverings while travelling on public transport has come into force in England today. Travellers - except the disabled, children under 11 and those with certain health conditions - will need to wear one or face being refused onboard or fined £100

No new coronavirus deaths have been reported in Scotland in the past 24 hours, the third time the figure has remained the same since lockdown began.

Rank-and-file police officers are calling for the home secretary to ban all protests in England and Wales while coronavirus remains a threat, after more than 100 people were arrested in a second weekend of demonstrations - including the anti-racism rallies sparked by the death of George Floyd in the US and counter-protests involving far-right activists
