I didn't say started I said caused.

Widely accepted it originated in the wet market in Wuhan due to the unhygencis way the Chineese run the places.

I'm confident it's adults that work and run the market and not Youths and I think its a safe bet to ssy the virus was then spread by those thst work there.

Hope this clarifies things.

RV. What you’re saying is that adults should have known that a bat bit a chicken.

Zero idea how you have come to that conclusion.

Well, say that’s how it started. How would anyone(regardless of age) know, because bats, mosquitoes etc feed off most animals. Your argument suggests that Adults caused it, but you haven’t explained how.
You can’t really answer that, because the Chinese still don’t know the source. The location is neither here nor there, and they’re not sure it originated in the market, as it could have been deposited there by a visitor to it.

I mentioned the youth because that's what I saw,I am also inclined to mention the older folks,as there are still a few who won't take this situation seriously,on my rounds today,I will say it was better than yesterday, the message is the same regardless, these people are acting in a very careless manner, had to pick some bread in ely,to take to an older woman, and in the tescorts on Cowbridge road, all were very observant odd the social distancing, both inside, and outside the store, all except a guy in his late seventies, who was in front of me,he proceeded to touch and pick up a shed load of items, only to put them back, touched every single cabbage,so eventually I had a gentle word with him, regarding the virus, and how it spreads,he was very humble, and said he knew he shouldn't, but forgot completely.he said he lives alone,so I asked him to take my number, and perhaps I could help him in future with the getting of his shopping, thus reducing his risks,I really hope he takes me up on my offer. :old: :bluebird:

RV, I skipped down through your thread after getting to the bit where you started preaching that you are not pointing fingers or blaming anyone BUT in first post you say all this was caused by ADULTS !!! Now when I was back in school , :old: if you said that someone had done something then by default you are blaming them.

To put it mildly, what a load of tosh and may I add the dimwit YOUNGSTERS have been skateboarding, kicking a ball about ( I wouldn't call it football if you had seen the state of it ), and generally f*cking about over here are certainly NOT adults.

Annis, now more than ever this board needs to be running to give us all something to keep the brain cells working with a bit of debating ;)

But there you go, anyway best of health to all forum readers and their loved ones

It’s not about age ....it’s about attitude that matters...
People of all ages are choosing to ignore the advice and others of all ages are doing good stuff and stepping up.
A lot of the care workers in this country are youngsters who have continued to go to work.
And some who have retired have gone back in one capacity or another.
It comes down to choice ....you can choose to do the right thing or you can choose to do the wrong thing .

I'd rather call it pointing out facts than pointing blame but its up to the individual how they interpret it.

BTW, as I said, this thread was only started out of frustration of reading multiple posts on multiple threads of people slaughtering the youngsters in this country when in my opinion adults (which I'm one of) have been equally as bad if not worse, especially where I live, backed up by many others on this thread.

Have a good day, best of health to you and yours.

Just come back from the shops. Bus stop with 10 peopleat 7 group together like normal. The other 3 spread out as advised. They fell into a certain group the bunched up were 50 pluses the spread out ones late teens early 20s.

Visited a supermarket saw 5 or 6 people in a group having a catch up. Yep you got it all 50 plus.

There were over 50s keeping a good distance so it’s not all the oldies but my experience the massive majority are.

RV Casual wrote:There's a few people on here who seem to have a bee in their bonnet and want to blame youngsters for everything at the moment.

I find it absolutely bizzare to be honest.

This virus was caused by adults and spread by adults to start with.

Further more the restrictions we are now under were essentially brought on by the failure of ADULTS to understand the concept of social distancing and the failure of (some) in certain categories to stay at home.

The whole supermarket panic buying situation was brought on by adults which by the way is a national disgrace in itself seeing the amount of food that is reportedly being thrown out this week yes by adults.

Yes there might be some kids out but it's no more than some adults who are by far the worst culprits in this.

I think our kids have been absolutely in this whole situation and have taken it in their stride, yes there might be a few idiots same as there are in every generation like those adults who are still flooding public transport and shops for non essentials.

Blaming the youth and saying they don't understand the situation is an insult to our youngsters imo even more so when the behaviour of those who should no better and be setting the example has been nothing short of a disgrace

It's all type of idiots young and old, but I would say there are more youth idiots about at the moment!

Whilst me and the wife were out for our daily exercise, we saw what I could only describe as an absolute moron. A guy on a scrambler bike ( with a no 37 racing number) was racing around the Gabalfa estate with a young lad on the bike with him (no helmet) at speeds in access of 60 mph. He almost ran into a van with his crazy riding now this is where we need the police to by on hand from a number of different points. :old:

Can a mod consider pulling this thread now? I think it's run its course and in all honesty has just caused division when we should be united and is running the risk of just becoming tit for tat.

I started the thread out of frustration and in the defence of our youth. I'm sure I won't be the first or last to post when maybe biting the tongue is the better option.

It was genuinly meant to be more in the defence of the young as to an attack on the old but I accept it might not have seemed like it but there was one post saying the youth are just not getting it on top of the rest that tipped me.

Opinions are divided and it does appear that behaviours are being determined by where you live.

I'm not the perfect poster by any stretch of the imagination, I post when pissed, in the heat of the moment and sometimes without thinking things through but my heart is in the right place.

If I offended anyone I apologise, I'm an adult too, believe me I wouldn't defent the kids if I thought they didn't deserve it.
