Anyone else think Matthews is more a right winger

than Full Back ?

he's dodgy in defense, but his skill and pace make him a handful going forward - he's a bit like a younger, skinnier Bale.

couldnt agree more, his talent has always been in going forward, he makes good runs and is a handful but defensively he is dire. i think dave jones has always had a tendency to put youngsters at full back if possible if its their position or not, blake, ramsey etc.

I could definately see him in that position.

He's amazing pushing forward. Gets a bit nervous in the box though.

A bit more experience and he'll be awesome.

in the academy he played as a right winger (got my sources ;) ), he's awesome getting foward and I'd rather see him going foward , I really hope that the club don't sell him :ayatollah:

Been thinking this for some time...shame there is such quality in front of him at the moment! I think that with some training to improve his crossing etc he could be brilliant on the wing. Still, good to have the option to push him forward when Kev is fit or if we sell burkey

He is 2nd choice RB but would prob be about 5th choice RM so it's a no brained for now although agree he can play both.

Always said he was an attacking central midfield player.
