AFTER SPANISH GOVT ARGUE WITH EACH OTHER.

YES YES

UNDER 18'S :thumbright:

Thanks to the other Spanish parties, they have told the President Sanchez its NO regarding our children, they need to go out, most Spanish said surely its fake news a joke by the Spanish President.

The Spanish Govt have just said YES our children can now go for a walk as well as the Supermarket and chemist, YES :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright:

There is no time limit on the walk to shop, there was going to be,

All children must have Id/ sanitiser on them.

EXPECT FURTHER CHANGES AS SPANISH PEOPLE DO NOT WANT TO BE FORCED JUST TO SUPERMARKET IN A CLOSED AREA WITH THEIR CHILDREN.

YOU MUST NOT VISIT OTHER HOMES ETC OR STOP AND TALK TO OTHERS.

THE SPANISH GOVT HAD PROMISED US SOME EXERCISE

My daughters or any other parents children have not left their front doors now for 39 todays.

Every day now getting hotter , I can see the The people will rise .

Spain’s Prime Minister in Madrid has no proper majority and has to rely on the Basque areas and Catalonia for his majority .

The majority are poor people and live in small flats in the heat with no air con etc

They so far have been impeccable and done everything the Govt had said in a strict / proper lockdown for 39 consecutive days .

But the President has just announced children can finally go out of their house next Monday, BUT

It was from next week
Under 12’s with one adult and only to the chemist, tobacco or supermarket and then straight home.

But now from today included ( Basque areas and Catalonia said not enough )

So now it’s
Over 14’s can now go out on their own to the nearest chemist and Supermarket to your home and then straight home .

id must be carried and a carrier bag or a prescription.

Balearic Island's are now on the way to being virtually zero of the virus after a strict lockdown, but still the lockdown extended to 9th May.

Just reading what My Spanish friends are saying to each other on fb, they really are fed up .

The SPANISH have been very tolerant / respectful and just talking on my whats app and they will not stand for this anymore regarding their Children and their health.

By about 9th May it will be 60 day’s and the Govt already saying wont relax much more.

I think the people and the regions will rise .

Plus unlike UK and many other countries the SPANISH Govt have given NO money to anyone yet and it’s promised they will eventually get 600 euros for each month

Your totally right Wez, We have about 1.4mill people here and it’s hardly thankfully effected us the virus, but we go under Madrid’s rule.

We were hoping to be the first part of Spain to be tested and let out.

I agree Mallo, to many in the Uk it has felt like paid holidays by their Govt, finally now most are now seeing how serious it is.
Common sense should of been used by the minority idiots.
The Govt have been to soft, I agree and many over the weeks in the UK have abused the softness..

But over here I agreed with the strict lockdown and so did All the Spanish people, plus British/German etc residents, but we were promised we finally could have a walk at least come then end of April, now they are not being fair at all.

We dont want to go to beaches, BBQ'S or play football or go to parks.

We want an hrs exercise for our children, not a lot.

There's a massive debate to be had here. I am totally grateful to the government for this hour a day as I live in an apartment or flat in my day.civil disobedience has been by and large minimal but our rates of infectiom and mortality are high due to proximity. Space is vital check out Australia. But my point is this. Annis has been very patient but now shows signs of cracking. You cannot pen people like this as this bloody awful thing is coming back anyway

I feel for you over there at least in Cardiff as long as we are sensible can go to the shops and stroll, have to hand it to the Spanish they do stick to the rules however painful.
I was due to go to Santa Ponsa on March 26th for the weekend but due to the lock down that didn't happen, I am also due to come out to SP for a week on June 1st but guessing that is looking unlikely as well, so third time lucky I am due to come out on 28th July, do think it may OK by end of July ?
I have heard rumours Santa Ponsa should be up and running by 19th June ? :bluescarf:

Spain is such a cash economy with a small percentage of the working population on amy kind of working contract simply because of the costs the employer needs to pay. The problem then is that if there’s no contract there’s no 80% aid from Madrid, however people need to still pay their bills, the airports are closed so the youngsters who work in bars/restaurants etc can’t get back to the UK so how are they supposed to live? I am convinced that the army was drafted into Marbella because the threat of civil disorder is growing by the day

Hi Norris,

Your right there is a massive debate on this and there are both sides, I can stay locked up for 60 days, but we need to know that then at least our children can have some fresh air and exercise, firs we are told that any children under 12 can walk with a parent chemist or supermarket and straight home, pathetic what about our older children?

So 4 days later after massive pressure they say over 14's can walk there and back on their own??

What happens come the middle of may/June and it starts to bake in Spain, no air con for many Spanish, small bedsits etc in crammed streets and bankruptcy only to look forward to.

Spain has had a horrendous virus and its still sadly not over, but the Spanish want to see some future?

We are very very lucky, the virus has hardly touched the Islands.

The way it's looking here at the moment it may not be a question of whether you can get into Spain at the end of July but whether you can leave the UK

No suggestion over here of any removal of lockdown restrictions for the foreseeable future.

Re: UPDATED YES: “ The SPANISH people have had enough “

One of the SPANISH ministers presented this to the SPANISH President Sánchez, signed by over 5mill people :thumbright: :thumbright:

After more than 40 days without going out, where our children have been undervalued in all their rights and still have accepted the situation.
Situation with many social differences ... because a small house with land - which most of our leaders will have - is not the same as a shared room in subhuman conditions or an apartment with patio views 24 hours a day.
We are told that on the 27th the children will be able to go outside. Imagine the illusion of children to take a race and notice the wind on their faces.
And they go now and rectify that they can only go shopping ... But let's see, gentlemen leaders of this country full of intelligent people who cannot plan an organization of 30-minute walks from 5 to 6, the peer portals and 6 to 7 odd ones.
Sure that EVERYONE CAN find the solution !! But of course what is not feasible is to take a child to a supermarket to touch the products, the shelves or even suck the cart as we have seen in some WhatsApp.
Therefore, I encourage you all to sign this petition. So that the Government realizes that it is playing with us and cannot afford it !!
For the children who are the great forgotten ones !!!
Because children need a WALK !!

Spanish government does U-turn, will allow children aged 14 and under out for walks

Earlier in the day, the Cabinet had decided that minors would only be able to leave the house to go to the supermarket, pharmacy or bank with a parent or guardian

Health Minister Salvador Illa announced on Tuesday evening that children aged 14 and under will, in the end, be allowed to leave their homes for accompanied walks from April 26 onward, after plans announced by the Cabinet earlier in the day to restrict such trips outside for youngsters to just visits to the supermarket, pharmacies or banks were widely criticized. The minister made clear that these latter activities will still be permitted for those aged 14 and under, while those aged 15 to 17 will be able to carry them out alone according to a statement made earlier in the day by the government spokesperson, María Jesús Montero.

After its weekly meeting today, the Cabinet announced that children aged 14 and under will be allowed out of the home accompanied by an adult under the same conditions that currently apply according to coronavirus confinement measures introduced on March 14 when a state of alarm was implemented by the Spanish government.

Speaking at a press conference earlier today, Montero said: “We are proposing that from April 27, minors aged 14 and under can accompany an adult on a trip outside of the house, such as going to the supermarket or the pharmacy.” That meant that minors would not have been able to leave the house with adults to go for a walk in the open air.

The Socialist Party (PSOE)-Unidas Podemos coalition government has imposed the strictest coronavirus confinement measures in the world, and the country’s 8.3 million minors have been shut away in their homes for more than five weeks now, with very few exceptions to the confinement rules that allow them to get out onto the streets – such as if there is no one in the household who could take care of a minor when the parent or guardian has to go to buy essential items.

The ongoing confinement of children had already prompted criticism among the political opposition and experts alike, who have been warning of the possible adverse effects the situation is having on the health – both physical and mental – of youngsters.

The government’s announcement earlier today about the relaxation of confinement measures for children was widely rejected by political parties – including those on the left – and members of the public alike on social media, many of whom pointed out that there was a much greater chance of infection for children in a closed space such as a supermarket than in the open air.

“This government listens,” said Health Minister Salvador Illa on Tuesday night about the U-turn. “This weekend I will issue an order so that children aged 14 and under can go out for walks.” He added that the conditions under which minors would be able to leave the house for walks would be “announced soon,” and went on to call for the public “to allow us to finish the details” of the plan, including "maximum time, distance and safety. This is going for a walk, and not going out to shop, which they will also be able to do,” he clarified.

Asked by reporters as to why the Cabinet had changed course on the issue of minors, if, as he had earlier stated, it had taken into account the opinion of experts before reaching its original decision, he said that “the government is going to continue acting with maximum caution, and being very conscious of the tough measures” that are currently in place.

The extension to the current state of alarm will be debated on Wednesday in Congress, and will need the support of other parties if, as Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has already announced, it is to be extended from April 27 until May 9.

I agree with both of you, things will get better, but my concerns are with countries lying about numbers of deaths, to have it believes they are clean,I watched an interview with an American doctor, who says in 40 years he hasn't known anything like it,saying countries are putting covid 19 on death certificates without even testing patient? Also so far we are not up to the levels of deaths worldwide, of the last 3 years or so from the flu season. :old: :bluebird:
