Why get involved????

Sat Aug 28, 2010 6:08 pm

It is clear we by the way we have began this campaign that we have the best chance ever of going up to the EPL. So why get involved with supporters clearly frustrated at the standard of football we are playing. Getting involved with fights with them will mean if you are caught an automatic ban from further games. They have nothing. We are on the verge of something special, something we have dreamed of for years.

So guys use your brains and walk away from the conflict at the end of the day we are better than them!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its not that easy to laugh at them and walk away when you getting punched and kicked you've got to defend yourself and your mates and fight back

I think every fan has the right to defend himself/his family/mates etc, trouble is we all know that we have plenty of toerags who'll kick off whether provoked or not.

true and will allways. i do agree this season we need to be whiter than white coz if we leave a trail of distuction behind us it'll give the fa THE CHANCE TO STOP US GETTING INTO THE PREM. its extreme but it could happen

WERE YOU THERE YESTERDAY ????????????????

WERE YOU 1 OF 2 BLOKES WALKING DOWN THE STREET ??????????????

WERE YOU ATTACKED BY 20 YOUTHS ???????????????????

I am not a fighter but believe me anyone in their right mind would fight back cos you aint gonna out run 20 youths!

IF i was one of these 2 men being attacked i would PRAY that the CCFC boys on the coached would do the EXACT same thing again and come to the aid of a fellow bluebird

ARE YOU TELLING ME IF THESE YOUTHS PICKED ON CHILDREN OR WOMEN OR OLD PEOPLE AND YOU WERE ON A COACH DRIVING PAST AT THE TME YOU WOULD IGNORE IT?!?!?!?! - lets hope you are not in this predicamnet anytime soon

WE know this club is watched week in week out and the people on the coach probably didnt give a 2nd thought to "getting banned" but to just save someone from a battering - human instinct mate

some truly ignorant and narrow minded views in here... you think you can just laugh and walk away? when somebody wants to attack you, they probably will. and I for one, will never be bullied in such a way.

I would rather miss the next 10 years of watching city than leave innocent people get beaten up by these clowns.
If any of you have not noticed recently the police seem to be allowing us to mix more with other fans at away games and some of their idiot element are attacking anyone in cardiff colours or with a welsh accent. Then when they get a reaction from those attacked or people who help them, they are straight in with the cctc and you are up in court.
Ive seen it now at Sheff UTD, Chelsea, Southampton and Portsmouth.
People should be aware and travell in numbers and dont let our fans get isolated.

As said, sometimes you have no choice.

No matter where you go there is always the possibillity if this happening. Especially in small groups where you can be easily picked off.

We've all got common sense, but we're also close knit and ready to jump in back up mates, family, fellow City etc when need be.

Jez what you have highlighted is not the full story and let’s be honest it's not what bethanmattsgrampy was getting at. We know that in recent seasons Cardiff fans have ripped out seats at Reading and Birmingham and pulled wing mirrors off cars at Arsenal.

Whilst everyone has the right to defend themselves and I fully support fans who come to the aid of others who are being attacked without provocation, it is also our responsibility to avoid trouble when we can. There is no excuse in hiding behind the cowardice of some Portsmouth fans so that we can demonstrate denial about our own problems and the terrible repercussions it could have if the Malaysians took a dim view of the behaviour of some of our fan base.

Tony what i am commenting on is the incident that happened in Portsmouth and how these blokes could not walk away (or run) - i am not on about anything else you are now bringing other topics into this conversation as and when things arise then i will comment on that.

What you are saying about reading & birmingham is off topic in regards to walking away - that is just sheer stupidity and vandalism to the stadiums and those that do that hopefully are on CCTV in the grounds and dealt with. Same as the Arsenal game with wing mirrors - what i was commenting on is what bethansgrampy was getting at and that is fans not fighting but walking away

So WHAT is the full story - i made my comment on reply to his thread - ??????????? how s that not full story ?????????? please explain because i think you are thinking of other issues - if so thread that and begin discussion :) :ayatollah:
