The Tourism Minister

Postby Brezza » Wed Jun 17, 2020 2:08 pm

Says we are starting to discuss it. That’s good of them. Says opening tourism will be largely open to the communities in the tourism areas. OMG. Can this government make a decision of their own? What happens if most of the locals say no but the business people who are desperate say yes. Do the government them play the best of 3 of scissors, paper and stone to decide? Unbelievable. She also says the 5 mile rule is tough for people in rural areas. Doh. What about thousands of us who have family in England. Our WG are so insular.

Constantly sitting on their hands and doing nothing whilst hiding behind "the science".

Genuinely do not seem to appreciate or care about the people they claim to represent.

No plan, no encouragement, no vision.

Just a constant negativity and unwillingness to even consider doing anything positive.

I hope people begin to realise the absolute mess the WGA are blindly stumbling into.

Starting to discuss it?

Makes you wonder exactly what they do in the three weeks between making their usual half arsed "decisions"?

What exactly are they doing? Other than gathering as much "scientific evidence" as they can to justify their complete and utter lack of any progression in getting people back to work and children back to school.

I thought that as well, should have been discussing this weeks ago and already have a plan of action

Bunch as half arsed bumbling idiots, I have absolutely zero faith in the WAG to get the economy going again. Mass unemployment and poverty is what we are going to get off them

Need to get off their arses and start making decisions to benefit the people they are supposed to represent

They'll wait until the kids break up (not that they'll be in school WAG happy to let teachers stay at home all year).

With all the pent up demand there will be three million in Tenby, you'll have traffic jams from Bristol, it's going to be mental, and if anyone still got COVID everyone will get it!

Only half the shops, pubs and restraints will be open the other half will have gone bust!

I have been wondering what the f Drakeford is doing in between these three week wonder sessions? A mixture of crystal meth with a bit of sado Mach tied up in leather straps thrown in the boot of a car and driven around cardiff Like MPs like to do....

They are using a spike in Japan as a reason to go "quote" very very slowly ! Advisor says 5 mile rule should be based on where you go not on distance... and believe it or not the 5 miles is not law just an advisory, for rural areas you can use your discretion :banghead:

I have no doubts it will be the same come September as it’s not 100% safe, whatever the f**k that means.... :laughing6:

At rate hes going wont have a tourism to be minister of anything! Very large percentage of the 3k pubs in Wales wont open because of 2mtr rule, also not having any timeline or clear strategy in what is required to be able to open is not very clever... head of brains brewery says without these things even they are in trouble with no income for forseable future...

When I think about Drakeford and co making decisions I imagine a group of people akin to the committee of the fAW in the 1980’s talking about welsh football..... :old:

Good analogy! as they were useless and needed a committee to ratify what the previous 2 committees had agreed by that time the decision was out date... bit like drakeford and co...:D

along with hotels BBs can only offer room service ... and cannot use dining rm or bar... not much of holiday if cannot have drink in any bar or pub cannot sit in cafe ect .. I certainly wouldn't bother so it will be mostly 2nd holiday home owners or caravan visitors , not done that much for tourism as all the attractions associated with holidays are closed
