Singer Dame Vera Lynn has died at the age of 103, her family have said.
Dame Vera was known as "the forces' sweetheart" for her morale-boosting visits to the front line to entertain troops during the Second World War.

I think the word legend is well over used and not warranted to many
But this Lady was a complete legend with a heart of gold in our most darkest of days
