You simply can not compare the 2 managers because they were in different situations when taking over at Cardiff. Some would say Warnock only because we would simply not be in this league without him, and others would say Malky because he broke the curse of Cardiff after 53 years away from the top flight. So they are both incredible managers I love both of them. Malky was in a world where Cardiff turned red and Warnock was in a world that no one was turning up at Cardiff due to poor managers before him.

They both done fantastic with low budgets which shows they are probably lower league managers in reality and not suited to the premier league

Warnock didn’t spend much at all relatively speaking.

Malky however had lots to spend in the year we went up and then the year in the premier league and mostly wasted it. We really should have been better prepared for the premier league than we were under Malky. We crawled over the line (albeit as champions) with lots of draws and when we went up, at a time Tan was prepared to spend he spent 10 million on a striker for the future. That was the year that better managers kept their teams in the Premier League that went up with us having spent a lot less. (Hull and Palace)

People will say that Malky never had us in the relegation zone and they would be right but the Southampton game showed we were only heading one way. We had been found out completely.

I just wish they had got someone in who was better than Ole as we may have stayed up if we did.

I think we would have paid quite a large sum to Acorn for him to leave.
