Shall praise var although even they couldn't get it wrong! Basically grealish ran in area defender near him... grealish then put his foot onto defender (aka man u other night) and theatrically went down ref gives pen var saw this and reversed pen decision... grealish should be banned for cheating :banghead:

Red card given in the Norwich v Burnley game.

VAR told the referee Kevin Friend to look at the pitch side monitor and he made his own mind up to show the red card.

That's how VAR should be used.

But again VAR looked at it for a few minutes before deciding to refer it to Kevin Friend, he looked at it twice on the screen and decided to show the red.

So I'm not sure why it took VAR so long to get the referee to look at it himself.

in another game ball goes in pen area....a foot is 6ft off ground I'd call it dangerous play var obviously dont!! Defender went to protect face but ball hits his arm they give handball but ignore foot in face of defender... its showing that officials in var dont know the rules of football as not 1st time for this..

For VAR to work properly they should stop the clock on big decisions this added time bollox kills it and rid that split offside decision also and end the games on 90 minutes

Only way that will work is to do what both codes rugby and other sports and have a central timer who stops clock for var or injuries on sign from ref that way everyone is happy, then no scoring in 3 mins of extra extra time

Another case of VAR not working in the Man Utd v Chelsea game just now.

Kurt Zouma is the last man and takes out Anthony Martial but Mike Dean doesn't give a foul.

Most obvious red card you'll see and VAR don't give it.

Think it was outside area so var was looking if inside if it was its definitely a pen wouldn't say red card... but if outside can var call a foul if ref hasnt? Dont think it can

No but Martial would have been one on one with the goalkeeper so surely a red card?

Yes true but as foul not given by ref var cannot interfere as it's outside area... like said if in area var would look at it and seriously doubt give it as ref directly behind incident so saw it? and as we know var are siding with refs at moment... personally 50/50 if red card given if a pen awarded
