Im sure some posters came back on here last week praising Boris and his pathetic lockdown and slating other countries.

This virus is not going to go away and Boris has to take a lot of blame for thousands of deaths that could of been prevented.

I agree with you. However, due to the tribal nature of politics now people won't admit that the Tories have made countless mistakes and have been massively incompetent in dealing with this. I put something similar on here yesterday and people were responding, asking for specific examples of things they'd done badly.  We need to actually start holding the Tories to account for how incompetent they've been.

But as long as they can socially distance, and wear a mask, which they seem to be in that photo Annis, then it's allowed,my question would be the capacity of the mosque before covid, and what the numbers are now under those guidelines given by government? I did listen to an imam in Manchester on the news saying it was unfair to five such short notice,as eid was here! No different to those in spain that now have to do 14 days quarantine on return, when they left because the government said it was safe to do so,but it's not now!! You know my feelings for boris and his bunch of cronies are, and they won't change anytime soon either,A F@cking shambolic disgrace, the lot of em! :banghead: :old: :bluebird:

I wasn't being sarcastic Annis! I was merely pointing out, that in the 1st (and only one at time of my post) that they were wearing masks,as the goverment has recommended, the 2nd pic is a whole lot different I agree, unless they are handed out upon entering? Not sticking up for them,as if you read my initial reply,I pointed out the fact an imam was saying it was unfair as eid was only hours away, which I found ridiculous, considering people went to spain (government say it safe!) Then whilst in spain, are informed they will have to quarantine for 14 days!! When many only went as this rule did not exist at the time, due to "safe air bridges" and worse still for those who were due back in work upon arriving home!the loss of eid is sad in my opinion,as would christmas being cancelled on christmas eve be? (Just a Christian comparison, nothing else!)but if this virus isn't brought under control, which includes partial lockdowns where needed,it is these very ethnicities who are affected the worst, where is their concerns for the general public, much worse, their elderly,or incumbent through illness loved ones??? And the same applies to those on packed beaches, both here and abroad!! :old: :bluebird:

Photographs in these instances can be deceiving. I have seen photos taken at a manipulated angle to make shoppers look like they were stood on each others toes; much like the beach photos that the media keep pumping out.
However, another angle showed they were far apart. Journos have learned that very quickly during this time.

You need side-on or directly above angles to be able to tell accurately how far away people are, much like the beach photos that the media keep pumping out.

Just because some guys are stood together doesn't mean much, they could work together, could live together etc. even though in some or a lot of instances you could presume they don't, but I prefer innocent until proven guilty!

If the media are brave enough to go onto a beach where they suggest so many people are crammed together and ascertain who shouldn't be close to who, scientifically MEASURING if they are the "correct" distance apart, maybe then I will trust some of their reporting and pictures more, but at the moment there's just a lot of mud slinging going on from the media...

Remember, the media were running around like a pack of hyenas when chasing supposed "rule breakers" down the street. ZERO distancing, no PPE, no problem?

Pubs all over the UK were over packed as well in the gardens, even my mates said in the Masons Marshfield there was over a few hundred packed in the beer garden when they walked past.

We could go on and on, no point pretending it’s not happening.
