Cardiff City and Wales star latest

Cardiff City are set to beat QPR, Derby and Millwall to the signing of Wales striker Kieffer Moore, according to reports.

Moore is close to leaving crisis-hit Wigan for around £2m, with the Bluebirds among those credited with interest.

And Football Insider now report the Bluebirds are winning the race, with a deal expected to be completed in the near future.

Bluebirds boss Neil Harris will want to put his stamp on this Cardiff City squad this summer and we will be able to read a lot into how he plans to reshape his squad with the signings he makes in this window.

Cardiff City have edged ahead of Derby County and a number of other Championship clubs in the race to sign Wigan Athletic striker Kieffer Moore, it is being reported.

WalesOnline are saying that Cardiff feel they can land the 27-year-old Welsh international and that he has become Bluebirds boss Neil Harris' number one target in the transfer window.

Stoke City, Middlesbrough, Preston North End, Queens Park Rangers and Millwall are other clubs said to be interested.

Moore joined Wigan in a £3m move last summer after scoring 21 goals in 51 league games for Barnsley.

Harris is keen to build his team around the tall centre forward as a focal point of the attack, WalesOnline report, and claim Moore would prefer a move to the Welsh capital.

Moore has two years to run on his contract at Wigan.
