KHAN: NO DRASTIC CHANGES TO FULHAM SQUAD

Fulham owner Shahid Khan has suggested the club will not make drastic changes to their squad ahead of the new Premier League season, insisting the club have learned their lessons from their last top-flight season.

In an open letter to fans on Friday, Khan said: "Be assured that we will be a team, in its truest sense, moving forward.

"We will be unafraid to improve and add pieces to our lineup, but not at the expense of the spirit and soul of a squad that bled, battled and sacrificed to return Fulham to the Premier League.

"Building a squad can be a tricky proposition for a newly promoted club, and that is especially true this year with the start of the season already nearly upon us. Turnover in football is inevitable.

"But, this club has Premier League experience and our players, as well as our young and promising head coach, love Fulham Football Club. There is a lot to like in this team today, and just as much to like in our future."

Learned his lesson from getting financially ruined last time. Still won’t prevent them getting relegated but this promotion may have saved them from the FFP repercussions of their spending over the last 3 seasons which had been ludicrous.

I think Leeds, West Brom and Fulham will all need to spend a fair bit of money if they want to stay up.

Gap between the Premier League and Championship seems to be getting bigger. As is the gap between every league, to be honest - Wycombe could have a very tough season in the Championship.

It looks like Leeds are ready to spend a lot money so they might do well, purely because players will want to join them due to the size of that club.

West Brom will struggle unless they bring in two or three quality players.

Fulham still need a few more players to compete, and they do have the advantage of being in London which can be attractive to players.

Wycombe will do well as they have an excellent manager who implements a good high pressing game. I would be more worried about the other two going back down than them, though Coventry have pretty decent squad and have already brought in some new faces. Rotherham have become the new Peterboro in being the league 1/champ yo-yo club.

They will need to spend about £10 million to stand still if they retain Harrison Reed from Southampton. Their midfield is slow and the defence is poor by championship standards.

Can only see them finishing in 20th position.

its going to have to be more than 10 mill... on the topic of spending just to stay still loanee united, oops i meant Leeds, are busy signing / attempting to sign last years loans Mesilier and Costa sorted at a combined 20 mill plus so far and a 22mill bid for white turned down... roughly had 60 million pounds worth on loan there which puts a bit of perspective on our spending...
