Tony Villars RIP

I hate to be ITK about such an unhappy topic but former City and Wales player Tony Villars passed away in his sleep last night. (Informed by friends in Cwmbran).

Will always be remembered by me and many others for that late equaliser against Crystal Palace so that we avoided relegation.

I’ve no doubt more details will emerge in the next few days.

RIP bluebird, fantastic goal against Palace that night and a welsh international as well.

Very sad news. He was great that night against Palace and though we got relegated the following season I seem to remember him starting the season in the following season on fire until he got a serious injury.

Shocking news.I was in the same school year with him.He was a decent outside half and cricketer.
