Gareth Bale arrives at Madrid airport as he prepares to fly to London to seal a move back to Tottenham.

GARETH BALE LATEST FROM MADRID

Sky Sports reporter Ben Ransom in Madrid:

"I'm at the entrance to the private terminal at Madrid Airport and this will be the final vision and the final memory of Madrid when he comes through these gates and gets on his private jet. This has been his home for seven years, and he's made some great memories on the way even if his relationship has soured over the past couple of years with the media and with the fans.

"The way he's perceived by those around Madrid and certainly within the club has changed, but he's had a tremendously successful time here. He surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo as the most expensive player on the planet and has won two La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues trophies.

"He's had his medical in Madrid and we understand that the deal is practically finalised. We're not expecting any sort of dramas but we're expecting him and Sergio Reguilon to pass through in a blacked-out people carrier into this terminal."

Right on cue, Bale has just driven into the terminal!

BALE LATEST FROM NORTH LONDON

Sky Sports reporter Paul Gilmour at Hotspur Way:

"We'll be here to welcome him at the Tottenham Hotspur training ground. He's closing in on this deal with Tottenham paying between £15m and £20m for this one-year loan to bring him back to North London, seven years after we saw him leaving this training ground for the last time.

"Daniel Levy was on his hands-free as he arrived here earlier this morning and he's in the building. Jose Mourinho and his players had a late finish last night in Bulgaria and he played his cards close to his chest.

"There's not much that Gareth Bale will have to do when he arrives here. He'll sign the contract and he'll become a Tottenham player. If he registers before midday today, he will be eligible to face Southampton over the weekend.

"Issues around his match fitness means that may be unrealistic to expect a debut. The No 9 is currently free at Tottenham and you wonder if that's a number Bale would be interested in."
