Leicester Centre half and goalie from Charlton according to rob Phillips...not a bad window in my opinion

Cardiff City will have signed two new loan players today and a permanent goal keeper :bluebird: :bluebird:

Out of contract at the end of this season, so maybe a wise move , he will get games and then be a free transfer.
Think we will be back in for him.

They extended his contract before letting him go out on loan

Strange that. It shows a lack of ambition to sign for a league on club and one not obviously going up over a championship club with promotion ambitions.

Wolves are mad to think a championship clubs will pay millions to have a untested youngster (not 1st team player) wasnt essential though so cant complain at our signings always jan to boost squad if nessasary.

Dillion Philips is rated very highly by Charlton fans if we did not have a very good keeper already he would go straight into the first team. Good cover for Smithies. Big pity about Sanderson as signing him would have allowed Tutu to play in midfield or on the wing and give us a load more options.Benkovic is a pure centre half and a very good one apperently.Bristol City fans thought he was very good for them. Would not surprise me if he was a first choice after a few games. Never played for Leicester but they paid £13 million for him. Great cover with Flint leaving.

If we had signed Woodrow and Sanderson as well I would have fancied us for automatic promotion.

did he choose them over us ? im sure you just said we missed out on getting him as Wolves wanted us to buy him not loan him ? even if it did come down to us and them on loan, he was probably promised a starting 11 spot there

Just posted this on another topic Annis, but from what I understand we only made contact for sanderson because the club were waiting to hear about from Leicester regarding the lad we got on loan from them. Because the loan system means you can only have a maximum of 4 under 23 year olds on loan longer term (6month-end of season) during one season. If Leicester said no, my understanding is we would of gone in for sanderson but leixester said yes, so the lad went to Sunderland as they were the only team really out for him

Sanderson looked promising when he first arrived, he just seemed to be vulnerable to lose the ball and wasn’t the best getting back to defend.
