Stay up = a successful season ?

Would you exept staying in the championship as a successful season?

At the start of the season I thought with a few quality signings we could have made a good push for the playoffs in not the top 2. Now I look at the squad and it's not really much stronger than last season and the injuries are mounting I think we will be lucky to make the top 12 never mind the playoffs.

Harris has to find a way of getting us to play attacking football from the start and not wait until we are 1 down with 15 minutes left before we start going for the game. Either that or we have to find a new manager.

I was ripped a new one for saying this season should be written off.

Stay up this year, plan for next.

My only worry is who is doing the planning.

A successful season is promotion.

Promotion automatically or via the playoffs.

Playing attractive football.

The last two times we got promoted even.

Although under Warnock when we got it up top it was quite exciting.

Playoffs is success given that the 3 relegated teams have kept same teams with additions! so would expect all 3 to be in top 6 leaving just 3 teams fighting for 3 places.

We wont go down we wont go up we will be in between 11th and 16th this season. Unless something changes but I doubt this.
I say go 3 at the back bring back Bamba Morrison and Nelson. Something completely different but it could unlock another door into winning games.

Because it was a ridiculous thing to say and still is.

I stand by my comment, if something doesn't change off the pitch, why should things change on it? I'm sure this will be revisited at the back end of this season, and I'll be more than happy to be proved wrong.

Might turn out to be a shit season and we end finishing no where near the top 6. You just sound like a wetwipe wanting to throw the towel in after 10 games.

That's a bit unfair on Warnocks side. The first third of the season we played some of the best football I have seen for years, sweeping aside Villa, Sheff Utd - how we only scored two that night I will never know-and Leeds and taking the game to Wolves at Molineux in what was a class performance. We did change our style on the back of a bad run but we lost Zahore and Gunnarson for a while. So many people forget what an exiting trio Zahore, NML and Hoilett were in that first third of the season.
