I’m surprised he’s not been mentioned more often regarding the managers role here. Not my first choice but, I think he deserves to be in contention.
Whilst I wasn’t overly excited about the work he did at West Brom, he got the job done. He’s done well everywhere he’s been and then fallen victim to expectations that have far exceeded his original remit.
He may well prove to be too expensive. The money we stole for Zohore a case in point (and also for him not always getting transfers right). He may not entertain taking over a mid table championship team either.
