Wolves have rejected a request from Cardiff City to take defender Dion Sanderson on loan.

The 21-year-old is currently on loan with Sunderland in League One and Cardiff made an approach to see if Wolves would cut short that deal and allow him to move to Wales.

However, they turned that proposal down and Cardiff are now talking to Crewe about a deal for Perry Ng.

Dion Sanderson will be staying at Sunderland after Wolves rejected a loan request from Cardiff +3

Sanderson, 21, enjoyed a successful loan at Cardiff last season and the club wanted him again

An Initial offer of £250,000 was rejected but talks are ongoing while Cardiff have also had a bid accepted for Bournemouth defender Jack Simpson.

Sanderson enjoyed a successful loan spell at Cardiff City last season and manager Neil Harris was keen to link up with a player he knows well as he struggles to lift his side up the table.

The 21-year-old Sanderson has come back into the frame at Sunderland after a frustrating start to life on Wearside, which saw him in and out the side prior to the arrival of Lee Johnson.

Would you want your player 'learning his trade' at Cardiff City currently?

Harris would soon drain him of any confidence built up through playing in a winning side at sunderland

I agree with the above comment. Nuno would not want Sanderson learning the Cardiff way, what benefit would that be to his career at Wolves?

Ng, hopefully we pursue him. We need to start taking chances.

For the love of god can someone please tell me how to Ng??

I really don't see the Sanderson thing.

He is 21 not 18, He'll end up a mobile centre half, but all Wolves are doing s trying to fatten him up transfer.

He ended the season as a sub and is now in L1 where he isn't looking a class above the rest.

They want to keep hold of his registration because they are rich enough to do so. Clubs hold onto their academy kids far too long. If he has no chance breaking into the Wolves first team squad then he needs to find his level and play.

He has played 15 professional games at 21 !!!!

I'd rather the guy who is 3 years older and played 170 more games.
