Unless I am mistaken - Mick's number2 is in the opening photo = Terry Connor .
Welcome Mick and Terry

Anyone else slightly concerned that the club is only looking at 6 months deal.
Apparently other managers turned them down because it was only a short contract.
Seems very strange for a club in our position.
For me I think this clearly shows where we're heading as a club.
Why weren't the board seriously looking for other alternatives whilst Harris was still in charge.
Harris getting the sack has been on the cards for months.
For example Fulham we're apparently looking at Howe before Parker turned it around.
I just never see ambitious clubs in the championship putting temp managers in place. Its a total waste of time. They always head hunt the best person to take them forward. Then if it is halfway through a season, that manager has time to learn about the squad and prep for the season after.
Just speculation but could there be any connection with board room change in the summer when parachute payment ends
Or have they lined a different manager up in the summer so only a short term contract is required.
Or are they just that unsure and inept of their selections that they want to trial all their manager before given them longer contracts

Can't really complain about the appointment at all
Whether they have an eye on the future with a younger man we will find out in the summer with either a contract extension or Mick standing aside for someone else.
He still has a lot in him and at 61 he is younger than a lot of premier league managers.

In the PL only Hodgson, Bielsa and Allardyce are older than 61 but I don't think age is an issue. It's whether he's now still able to compete tactically with other managers in the Championship.
