Maybe people can get off his case and actually show him a bit of support then. He is the only reason we made the playoffs last season and he could make the difference this season as well.

Maybe MM wanted to give us a surprise. Whatever the reason, it’s great news to have Lee Tomlin back. Let’s hope he can play a big part in getting us to the playoffs. :ayatollah:

Tomlin has reached the age whereby any pain will hurt him......

Let’s hope he gets some game time and doesn’t pull anything doing it hmmm.

It’s a bit like Mourinho and Bale last week, manager saying injured and player saying great training session

Slight difference there, Bale had a training bib on and Tomlins would be a food bib.

Give him a chance, he’s proved before that he can do it, let’s get behind him instead of skating him

A bit of reverse psychology methinks :occasion5: :occasion5: :occasion5:

Re: Shock / Great News:

Mon Feb 15, 2021 12:02 pm

Could be an error in communication or a misunderstanding between the medical staff/Tomlin and MM. Tomlin mentions a new pain, med staff pass the comment on to MM, MM thinks "okay probably means an extra week out". Meanwhile turns out Tomlin just slept at a dodgy angle night before and the pain wasn't related to the injury?
Or maybe Tomlin is fit enough and was closer to making it back to the 1st team than we realised but MM wants to keep him with the U23's for a spell instead of bringing him back to the 1st team?

Either way hopefully we see him back soon, I don't think anyone can argue that we would be disadvantaged by having him back :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

He’s had enough chances more injury prone than a dead duck! he’s also on over 20k a week so I’ll skate him as much as I like ha ha

Dont get the last sentence? We would be "disadvantaged " having him back ?? Do you mean advantaged?

I was trying to say that nobody would say we would be disadvantaged. As in no one will complain if Tomlin replaces Vaulks/Pack/Ralls/etc when he is fit.
But maybe I cocked up a bit haha.

In simple terms what I was aiming for was "Tomlin fit = everyone happy" :thumbright:

Sounds like Tomlin had a reaction and the club/manager were being cautious; but regardless this is great news on top of the two Academy players and Jonny Williams providing what amounts to a 'good news' day!

Re: Shock / Great News:

He is the sort of player who can really change a game with a single pass, so I hope he is able to start making a contribution soon. We've got plenty of energy across the field, but sometimes it's just one killer pass that can win a game and he can certainly deliver those. Wouldn't expect to see him at the start, but expect Mick would make great use of him and feel sure that opposition managers would just love to see him coming on later on.

I’d say defenders facing ojo Wilson or an inform Murphy would be delighted to see an angry tomlin come on for the last 20!

Haha  watch you don’t slip skating while you’re slating him  I’d take a 70% fit Tomlin over most players in this Cardiff squad but it’s all a matter of opinion :ayatollah:
