Dibble knew Dillon Phillips was unhappy at Charlton and wanted to leave. They knew each other well and Dibble went to the CCFC committee and said we need two good goalkeepers in the Championship now that Neil Etheridge had gone for a few of your to £1mill to Brum.
So on Andrew Dibbles advice and what he is paid to do, Charlton were approached and with Phillips unhappy there , a fee worth up to £500,000 was agreed.
£250,000 now and the rest depending on appearances etc etc.
We also have cut the wage by half compared to Etheridge

And I have to say I was a big Etheridge fan.
It also gave the club money for other new players.
As to the great saves yesterday Dillon Phillips is known as a great penalty stopper.
Dibble works with our goalie’s big time on the penalties like he did with Neil Etheridge

Anyway a big gratitude to Andrew Dibble for bringing in Dion Phillips
