To be fair to him, played very well today since he came on at half time against West Ham.

He’s gonna be class.

Fresh as well.

Joe Allen will be there too.

He will do his best for Wales, he may be not at his best currently but when it comes to Wales in football he plays his best. The only reason for his poor form is because he is not being played week in week out and dont forget he had all that business with Zidane at Real Madrid, which ended up never playing Bale for 2 or 3 seasons. So it's not Bale's fault at all blame the people who he is contracted with for not playing consistently.

There has to be a certain amount of blame on Bale.

He has to show he is worthy of a game. Today he was notably different. Lots more oomph on the ball. He simply hasn’t done that for Jose until today for a consistent amount of time.

Still think we are going down without signing a new striker Sam?

Nope, ridiculous amounts of money have made him lazy.

Hmmmm, not jealous, then...? ;)

Bale made a difference when he came on today and Mourinho was more than happy that Gareth is progressing both fitness and influence

Mourinho could yet save what remains of Gareth's career, as he knows him well enough to put that arm around his shoulder and guide him back to where he wants/needs to be, i.e. at the top

Don't write Gareth Bale off quite yet; I'm not a fan of international football but he will be there for Wales come the summer and be rejuvenated for next season no matter where he ends up (sadly, not at his home town club no matter what division)

Perhaps it’s a confidence thing!
:laughing6:

Perhaps Jose’s been cuddling him..

With regards to the OP if Bale is fit, he’ll be first on the team sheet.
He’ll do fine.

I think he will come good....love his passion for playing for Wales....sets high standards which he gets slated for if he doesn’t always perform for us.
On his day, which hasn’t been often lately, he’s pure class and last couple of games has started to show abit of form.
If he’s fit, he will be worrying every defence he comes up against
