O/T Line Of Duty

Sun Mar 21, 2021 10:36 pm

Anyone else watch the first episode of Series Six tonight?

Very good start, I thought. More than lived up to expectations.

Already plenty of questions and good performances by all the cast.

I have already got loads of theories, all of which are probably wrong.

Should be a good watch for the next seven weeks.

Agree with all of that.My theory is AC 12 are being watched themselves and Kate is playing the double agent type game known only by Hastings. That new black AC 12 recruit could be a plant by one of the H's also. Theories abound !

That's definitely possible.

I have a feeling that Kate hasn't actually left AC-12, but for some reason Steve doesn't know it and Hastings does - similar to what you said.

Something still doesn't sit right about DCC Wise and Rowan, the PCC. Not really seen much of them in the first episode apart from Wise excluding Hastings from a meeting, but won't be surprised if they both appear again later on.

Like I said, I'm probably miles off

Wasn’t the suspect they arrested Terry I think his name was. Make an appearance in earlier seasons? Or am I mixing up my dramas?

Yeah, same person. The OCG had been keeping Jackie Laverty in his freezer, the woman they killed in series one.

His flat is opposite the printing shop where Lisa McQueen and John Corbett were based last series.

Enjoyed Line of Duty, I binge watched them all a few years ago untill I caught up.

I'm currently working my way through Death in Paradise, I love it as I just find it easy to put on and watch, easy watch with some good twists and a bit of comedy.

It was even better tonight.

Won't post any spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen tonight's episode yet, as it's only just gone out.

But a couple of key returning characters and many more questions.

Also love Death In Paradise - Usually it's down to 4 with twists as you say - Good cast / Great Location

Third episode of Series 6 of Line Of Duty tonight. A couple of slight spoilers below.

I think tonight's episode was the best so far this series.

So much to conclude.

I strongly believe that there's something not right about Rohan Sindhwani, the PCC.

I'm more than certain that DSU Buckells is a red herring and not orchestrating anything. For a start, he's too stupid. The scene of him in his office with his golf clubs was far too obvious.

Ryan Pilkington seems to be getting found out by Steve and Kate.

Will be interesting to see what happens with Steve's drug test. He'll surely fail and there will be repurcussions.

Looks like Hastings giving the money to John Corbett's widow will come back and bite him.

I still think Davidson is the prime suspect, but again that might be too obvious.

For those still watching...

What an episode tonight. Won't post anything in case some watch it on catch up.

But genuinely a brilliant episode and one of the best there's ever been in my opinion.

Ned, not seen this series yet (saving whilst watching the fabulous 'This is Us' on Prime) so appreciate the non spoilers unlike when you is 2 mins ahead on match days...!

Watched all the other series of Line of Duty and you've whetted my appetite to complete the set sooner rather than later :D

Agree mate, a brilliant episode and well worth watching. Best series that I have seen on TV at the moment by a country mile.

It's getting a bit predictable and silly now though isn't it?

Every time they move a suspect they get killed or attempts are made to kill them, really?

Mind you I suppose I knew that when the killed the wrong person because the screw was missing on the door of 19 making it look like 16 :laughing6: as if!

To be fair, those sorts of scenes you can predict what will happen in any TV show.

I don't think the way this series is going is predictable.

If anything, it's the most unpredictable yet in terms of how it will play out in the final three episodes.

Enjoyed the episode on Sunday, and genuinely thought it was one of the best they've done.

Quality mate isn't it, I didn't think I was going to get on with it when they changed inspectors but each one had grown on me. I'm just starting series 10 and on Ralph Little now, I will give him a chance not grabbed me just yet like the others, glad Florence is back mind, will help.

It's quality mate, loving it as I have all the other series, it's annoying though as it's the first time I have had to wait a week for the next episode haha

Unforunately it has now entered the twilight zone.Early doors an excellent drama now reduced to quite laughable nonsense, a real shame.

Tonight was simply outstanding.

I can't say much without giving away spoilers to those who haven't watched.

But it was just fantastic.

These last two weeks have been phenomenal.

I also think there'll be another series after watching that last night.

I wasn't as disappointed as some in the episode. In a way I think some people had astronomical expectations which would be hard to meet.

It's not the most adventurous episode they've had and there are still some questions to answer.

But there were also some answers and a lot of it makes sense when you look deep into it.

All in all, it's been an entertaining seven weeks which is what TV drama is all about really.
