' Cardiff' City's young guns '
Both players have improved vastly under New Manager Mick McCarthy
Tom Sang, the 21-year-old former Bolton Wanderers and Manchester United youth player, shone v Swansea City.
Sang was released by Manchester United less than 2yrs ago and City then gave him a trial
Ciaron Brown age 23, an academy player from Wealdstone United football club who he made 50 appearances for, signed by Cardiff City less than 3yrs ago and sent on loan numerous times to Livingston and returning to Cardiff this January under Mick McCarthy and had his best game so far for the Bluebirds
Both Ciaron Brown and Tom Sang had already enjoyed a taste of first-team action before this weekend, but will surely have felt a fair few nerves going into this fixture.
Derby days are so often decided by fine margins, and there's no room for any proverbial rabbits in headlights.
Yes, it's not quite the same atmosphere without the cauldron of noise that both sets of fans create on the day, but the pair will have surely felt the weight of the world's gaze on their shoulders as proceedings got under way.
But anyone who thought the inexperienced young duo might have crumbled were proved wrong - emphatically so.
Both were utterly, utterly superb.
Sang was named Cardiff's star man in our player ratings, and made a series of crucial interventions throughout the evening. Wing-back isn't actually his natural position, but boy you wouldn't have known it. Perry Ng and Jordi Osei-Tutu are obviously, when fit, still the preferred options, but it's easy to see why so many Cardiff fans believe they have a real prospect on their hands.
Similarly, Brown, who's required the patience of a saint in waiting for his first-team chance in the capital, didn't look at all out of place in a superb backline display, and looked far more comfortable playing in a more central role than he did at wing-back recently.
The 23-year-old neutralised the threat of Andre Ayew brilliantly throughout the game, and while we often harp on about the height and aerial dominance the likes of Morrison and Flint bring to the table, he actually won more aerial duels than both of them.
It spoke volumes that despite his man-of-the-match performance, skipper Morrison name-dropped both of them in his triumphant post-match interview.
We could see plenty more of them both over the coming weeks.
