Bottom of the league Wednesday beat Barnsley

Local derby match:

Which not many have done so let’s have some perspective.

They would now be 4th bottom if not for the points deduction.

We were awful. No bones about that. Wilson not starting was bonkers. Aside from that though it was players who did a job against the Jacks minus our captain. Players who have done well until very recently and a manager who has also done very well until very recently.

When we were winning and people were happy Pack was class, Vaulks was class, Bacuna, Ojo, Murphy all were suddenly world beaters. They played some good stuff too.

We have a lot of injuries.

Next season we will be there or thereabouts.

If that performance was a one off it would have been acceptable but we've been poor in the last 6 games now. All hit an hope football and dependent on a long throw. Even the swansea game was like watching a league 2 team against a prem team in the cup - not that I care how we beat them but we it was backs to the wall defending for 80mins.

Yesterday was a must win game against a team who had lost 8 in 10 and we went into the game with 6cms on the pitch. No surprise really we've scored 2 goals in 6 games. All we've got is a long throw and its absolutely dreadful to watch.

Let’s not down play, how poor the selection was and the way we played. We all knew that the result was great against Swansea, but looking at the game again you could see our passing and possession was dreadful. They had 2 weeks to sort out as most were not on international duty. They come back on Friday and Monday like they have never played football. The management deserves all the criticism. I don’t get this we will be better next season. We said that with Harris when we lost in the playoffs, and we were worse this time. They got themselves with a chance to be in the playoffs and due to incompetence they blow it.

When did I say that? I did say that they were only bottom due to points deduction which is a fact.

I said they had good players. I also pointed out they beat Barnsley who have been in good form.

We were shocking that day and allowed Wednesday to be better than they were.

Neil,

A team in Wednesday position should never hammer us 5nil.
They are not only in the bottom three because of a 5pts deduction they are there on merit.

Also as to beating Barnsley that’s a local derby and form goes out the window as you know.

We should not of been hammered by the likes of Sheffield Wednesday.

Bottom three I will not argue with. Their victory against us would have taken them out of the bottom three.

We shouldn’t have lost five nil. Absolutely a shit show.
