a quick search online tells me that 3.5 million people use social media....a very very small amount of these users have any idea who swansea city are....more new people will sign up to social media in the next 10 seconds than will boycott swansea for the next week....people will be watching to see how many swansea players break the boycott.

I'm only surprised they have 'social media' in Swansea...

This is the closest I get to social media so my understanding is pretty limited, but my take on it it's global and at best Swansea is regional.

You can place a bet on two fly mating in Botswana nowadays, so a live game on the internet to all corners of the world on the ever so incorruptible EFL draws "fans" / bettors from all corners of the world, with little knowledge of Swansea or their players, but when they Fcuk up their colour is the first thing they see.

The Man U's of the world have a worldwide fan base with many differing views on race and various grasps of the language. I just can't see a way out with the current set up.

I just don't see why the uber-rich preachy sport stars or politicians do not start up, join and promote a rival social media company that ensures identity verification...... You may not have as many followers but it will be "clean", and that is it, it's all about the exposure and hence money.

10/10 for a pointless virtual signalling session.....what happens in a week, nothing.

I just googled the highest Twitter followers, they all use this platform to preach, their leaving to join a rival would send shockwaves through silicon valley, but they won't as it easier to sound pious but still rake in the cash from advertisers

Very important subject cyber bullying. More clubs and celebrities should follow. Vile people out there and its shocking what gets said to people.

Personally I am disappointed our club has not followed suit in solidarity. We may be rivals but on issues like this we are one. Social media is poison and a haven for racist behaviour.

I thought the taking the knee stuff was divisive, pointless and counter productive but this is something that will make an impact where terrible racism happens everyday.
