Personally I cant see much coming. The youngsters will be given their chance. Mid table for me will be a good season next campaign. A mid table club with a young squad is ideal criteria to sell.

The price would be much lower if we are a mid-table team with a young squad. A better course of action would be some investment in players in the summer. Our current squad lacks quality and cover in too many positions. Just promoting youngsters is not going to fix that.

Nobody thinks the u23s are better than our first team. But there are players in the u23s who would offer something completely different to what we have now. There is a complete lack of pace and creativity in the first team whereas there are 2 or 3 standout players from the u23s who have both attributes. We will never know if they are good enough if they don't play. Weve got nothing to play for now so might as well see how a few of the better ones do. Starting will cowil.

Where have I said anyone us better? I actually stated they might not be good enough.
Does our squad lack pace and creativity?
Are there players in the u23s who would be classed as creative players who happen to be quick?

yes there are players who look quick and creative at under 23 level. as there always are in all under 23 teams , infact at all levels and have been for ever and a day....the vast majority tend to not make it. which was very obviously my point yet i must have read a dozen names on here this last few weeks including 2 described as wonderkids. extremely unlikely all these boys are even close........as for nothing to play for... yeah i bet... Mick picks kids , a couple of heavy defeats later and everyone that sharpened a knife when he got appointed will be out sticking it in him..

Feel for him but after that game not so much. Anyone know why Phillips never played?

I read it differently. He stated that nobody thinks the U23s are better than the first team. He went on to say there are 2 or 3 in the U23s who offer something different...not the whole team.
There's definitely a case to be made for players like Colwill, Patten, Kieron Evans and Isaac Davies. Nothing on the remaining games so give the lads a chance to gain some valuable experience. Not altogether in one game from the start, but some significant game time for 2 or 3 in each game.
