Castle Street closing by the Council

Wed Apr 21, 2021 11:16 am

I got caught out by this before and it took ages to get accross to Cathays to see my mum - https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wale ... c-20429147

My mum said if you want it reopened you have to vote for it here https://wh1.snapsurveys.com/s.asp?k=161450917089 amazed the Council are letting people have an opinion - not usual from them

I think they just need to re open it and then stop polluting vehicles and give them a massive fine for the smoky exhaust.

labour are totally at beck and call of the environmental lobby only need to look at WG rd policy or should say lack of one... and councils ridiculous agenda for putting in bus lanes when no room for them! Labours agenda is to remove cars from Cardiff at any cost.

I just read the comments and apparently the person who founded this group http://cardiffcyclecity.org/2020/02/07/cardiff-cycle-city-manifesto-update-the-vision/ is also on the Council Cabinet executive that makes these policies and it seems just about everything this cycling Lobby has in their 'manifesto' the Council have implemented - I would have thought this is a massive conflict of interest myself - maybe I guess the Council either dont know about it - or are happy about it.

I dont mind getting kids on bikes and everyone cycling, Im all for it - just dont close a road for it. The cycle paths could be put through the castle grounds round the back by the tennis courts for example

The cycle track runs from Tesco western ave to castle st on Sophia gardens side in fact goes to the bay....and from castle to maindy on other side river so absolutely no need for one unless think need one in front of castle? Labour council like WG have been in power to long and do things with impunity .. like destroying bus stn for 2 eyesores in its place the list is endless of their broken promises.

It's just a generic set of questions to do some data gathering and see who's answering, I imagine it would be included at the end of any "SnapSurveys" survey regardless of it's topic.

Its just shifted all the pollution to residential areas ie Canton and Roath.. had to drive to Ely Bridge from Canton this morning to get to Roath because of the gridlock..pathetic
Bus Lanes caused the problem in the first place..

Asking if youre trans just about sums up the Council.. ffs is all thats left to say

I thought the same pal . Absolutely absurd . What a f*cking woke society we are breeding.

A ‘trans’port survey . I’ll get my coat .
