A forum for all things Cardiff City

Just watched the celtic v rangers game, it looked like a spectacle of the jacks v us.
1. No bootle from rangers in 50-50 tackles --- just like us
2. A keeper that is stuck to his goal line --- just like us
3. A manager who will not change the pattern of play when you are getting slaughtered --- just like us
4. A manager who will not bring on a sub until it is too late --- just like us
5. A back four who do not have a clue --- just like us
6. A midfield with no idea and no ball winner --- just like us
7. Tremendous away support --- just like us
I cant leave it all negative. Oh and that lunatic they have up front should have been banned from football,
that was thuggery not passion.

Although they only have about 10 rows of seats and a few police seperating the fans.
We have about 3 blocks and a few hundred riot police between us & the jacks

I only saw the first 35 minutes and I thought the ref bottled it a couple of times. That 'foul' on the keeper was never a foul and Fortune's goal should have stood. Lafferty should have been sent off

Also you could add in, there were no strikers on show that are anywhere near Premiership standard (McCormack apart for us, maybe?)

There is no comparison - I've read comments from Rae, McCormack etc and they say the passion and atmosphere in South Wales is much bigger despite lesser numbers.
Old Firm fans walk to games together, drink together etc.
The atmosphere is electric(mostly religious too), and that's about it.

Wouldn't that be partly down to the fact that they come from the same city? I've been to loads of London derbies and the situation is the same, as I imagine most other inter-city rivalries are. We're in a different situation because it's a derby game between 2 clubs from different places within south Wales and the away side's fans have to be bussed in

Two cities, yet they travel from all over the country.
IMO it's a pathetic fabricated religious rivalry.
There is no comparison between the drivel up here and what goes on in Cardiff/Scumsea.
