‘Sell him to Gerrard at Rangers’: Liverpool fans react to hearing ‘world class’ loanee wants to go

Some Liverpool fans on Twitter are devastated after hearing about Harry Wilson’s plans to leave the club this summer.

Speaking to Sgorio, the 24-year-old, whom Liverpool loaned to Cardiff City last summer, admitted that he won’t hesitate to quit the Reds if it led to a better career.

Wilson has never made a Premier League appearance for the Anfield club, where he began his professional career after rising through the academy ranks.

This is his fifth loan away from Liverpool and after proving himself in the Premier League last season with Bournemouth, few would begrudge the attacker a move away from Anfield.

Liverpool & Rangers Football fans forums are full of Liverpool fans saying send Harry Wilson to Steven Gerard at Rangers, with Rangers fans replying saying they would welcome Wilson.

After all, Jurgen Klopp himself labelled the player’s shooting ability a ‘world-class’ level back in 2019 [Goal] and that right there illustrates just what the German thinks of him.

Liverpool’s problem is they have to be realistic.

Last summer, the club were reportedly looking for £20 million for him and despite seven Premier League goals with the Cherries, they just weren’t going to fetch that figure.

Would be a good move I think (price would need to dropped for Rangers). Be an opportunity to pick up some medals probably get into double figures for goals and play in Europe. There's a couple of internationals at Rangers so be playing with decent players if not against them and get plenty of the ball.
Feel if he stays in the Premier league he'll end up at a bottom half club whos main ambition is staying up and go into plenty of games trying not to lose.
Could enjoy a bit of success and if he stands out get a move to an ambitious club in England or on the continent.
Obviously hope there's a plan in place to bring him back to Cardiff!
