Terrible news: Arsenal youngster on loan Jordi Osei-Tutu, has suffered ankle ligament damage.

CCFC TEAM NEWS: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Cardiff City will once again be without Sean Morrison, Max Watters and Junior Hoilett due to injuries.

The Bluebirds will also miss Will Vaulks owing to him serving the second of his three games for a red card suspension.

Mark Harris took a knock to his ankle this week but he looks like he will be fit enough to play this weekend.

Lee Tomlin is once again unlikely to feature, while Joe Bennett (ACL), Jordi Osei-Tutu (ankle ligaments), Tom Sang (toe ligaments), Joel Bagan (shoulder) and Isaac Vassell (quad) are all long-term absentees.

It looks likely youngsters such as Rubin Colwill, Kieron Evans, Isaak Davies and Sam Bowen will all be in the squad once again.

Anyone back you didn’t have?

MICK McCARTHY:

Sean Morrison is still out. Max Watters is out. Kieffer has had a bit of one, landing on his Achilles but he will be OK.

That’s it.

Junior has got a tight hamstring, felt it this morning and he won’t be involved at all.

CCFC TEAM NEWS: :bluebird:

Rubin Colwill ,Isaak Davies, Kieron Evans and Sam Bowen Our 19 & 20 year olds will be in the match day squad again, Rubin looking for his 3rd start, the others sill waiting on theirs :thumbright: :bluebird:

Sean Morrison is doubtful.

Max Watters is also a doubt owing to a tight hamstring, while Junior Hoilett also has a similar problem.

Will Vaulks is back after one match suspension :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Joe Bennett, Joel Bagan, Tom Sang and Isaac Vassell are all long-term absentees.

Lee Tomlin is still not fully fit  while Mick McCarthy branded Sol Bamba's chances of playing again this season "wishful thinking".

ROTHERHAM:

For the Millers, Viktor Johansson, Joe Mattock and Angus MacDonald are doubts.

George Hirst is out with a hamstring injury.

Final game of the 2020/21 regular season.

Rotherham still have a chance of staying up and will have something to play for when this game kicks off. They are currently three points adrift of Derby and have a better goal difference.

But they have a game at Luton on Tuesday. So if they win that, they will be outside the relegation zone before kick off. Derby play Sheffield Wednesday, who are also three points behind Derby and with a better goal difference (but a worse goal difference than Rotherham), on the final day.

All games on the final day kick off at 12.30pm.

How can I watch this match on TV?

This match is live on Cardiff City TV.

About Rotherham United

Rotherham United Football Club, nicknamed The Millers, is a professional association football club based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England. The team compete in the EFL Championship, the second tier of the English football league system, following their promotion from League One in the 2019–20 season.

Founded in 1925 as a merger between Rotherham County (1877) and Rotherham Town (1899), the club's colours were initially yellow and black, but changed to the red and white around 1930. Rotherham United play their home games at New York Stadium, a 12,004 capacity all-seater stadium, having previously played since its foundation at Millmoor for 101 years. Joining the Football League back in 1925, Rotherham spent the first 25 years of their time in the Third Division North, the lowest level of the Football League, finally gaining promotion to the Second Division at the end of the 1950–51 season.

The Millers featured in the inaugural League Cup final in 1961, won the 1996 Football League Trophy and the 1946 Football League North Cup. They also achieved two separate back to back promotions in 1999–2001 under Ronnie Moore and 2012–2014 under Steve Evans.

A tough game for us, as it stands; but that could all change when Rotherham play their game in hand v Luton

Should they (Rotherham) win, then the potential for Saturday could be immense and we need to play our part by staying honest and competing

I'm sure this is what Mick McCarthy will demand after yesterday's performance and strong team selection

But if Rotherham are already relegated the question of giving one orvtwo youngsters will be raised again

Chris, they can't already be relegated by Saturday.

They currently have a better goal difference than Derby and Sheffield Wednesday. They're level on points with Sheffield Wednesday and three points behind Derby.

So if they lose on Tuesday, they can still stay up on Saturday if they beat us and Sheffield Wednesday beat Derby.

There are such things as training and playing Under 23 matches.

They don't just rock up on a Saturday five minutes before kick off.

I would like to see Rotherham stay up, as they have been very unlucky with referees decisions and missed chances lately.
A win for Rotherham and Sheff Weds would be my favourite outcome.
As both Derby and Sheff Weds would be relegated.

That was a trait of warnock's players ouf injured in training ! very rarely happened b 4 them.... tiredness and hard work load causes injuries and that again is a trait of both them

Match facts

Cardiff City have won their last three league matches against Rotherham United, scoring nine times and conceding just twice.

Rotherham are winless in five away league matches against Cardiff (D2 L3) since winning 1-0 back in August 1998 with a goal from Lee Glover at Ninian Park.

Cardiff haven’t lost their final league match of the season in any of the last six seasons (W4 D2) since going down 2-1 to Chelsea on the final day of the 2013-14 Premier League campaign.

In the second tier, Rotherham haven’t won their final league match of the season since 1966-67 against Bury and are winless in 11 games since (D5 L6).

Since Mick McCarthy’s first league game in charge of Cardiff City, no side has lost fewer Championship games than the Bluebirds (3, level with Norwich and Barnsley).
