There are such things as training and playing Under 23 matches.

They don't just rock up on a Saturday five minutes before kick off.

Thanks for clearing that up, there's me thinking they sit in a cupboard all week and get let out on matchday. The point I was trying to make is that he hasn't featured in the first team and yet he's injured. Makes you wonder what they do in training, wasn't Johnny Williams out for weeks after getting kicked in training? Something wrong with training methods in our players are getting crocked isn't there?

Nah they don’t sit in a cupboard all week but what they do is they play football during training! Yeah they run, sprint, tackle and all the things they do in a match surprisingly.

Footballers get knee injuries, ankle injuries, pull muscles and all sorts. I remember when Dean Ashton had his ankle shattered in training for England some years back.

Watching the football the other evening and I saw Granit Xhaka get an injury during the warm up. Had to go off and couldn’t play. Lucky that wasn’t a City player or you could have another reason to blame the club for something that happens everywhere and is hardly unique to us ffs.

Some nice build-up from City down the left and Colwill releases Moore, but the striker's left-footed cross sails over the bar.

Watching the Derby game on Sky myself. Will do a scouting report on Reach Windlass and Rhodes as we seem to be interested in them. Poor game so far.

A long ball over the top causes trouble and Jozefzoon is through, but Phillips comes out quickly and smartly to clear in the nick of time.

They also have lives outside of football too, plenty of instances of players getting injured outside of training. Tripping over curbs/steps, burns from cooking, pulled muscle stretching for the TV remote, etc. Was it Roger Federer who injured himself getting out the bath I believe? Needed surgery if I recall

Good little period for Rotherham here. A cross is half-cleared by Flint and then again by Brown and it falls to Wing once more, but his shot from range is well over the bar this time.

Wood misses!

Richard Wood is found at the back stick, but he cannot steer his header on goal. So close!

Watching both games.

Commentator on Sky just said it's similar to when we were playing at Hull a few years ago and Hull were relying on other results to go up because we drew, we were already promoted. Was at the game and remember the long wait while the other game was finishing.

Should be 2-0.

Rotherham really up for this

Colwill slides one down the side of the box for Moore and he blasts one across goal, but Blackman spills and then regathers.

At least injury was genuine thought he did himself a serious injury....but game did start bit later than citys! :D

Why does Phillips always punch the ball away when he can catch it? So many times this season it puts Cardiff under pressure.

Brilliant save by Phillips

Rotherham dominating

Another massive chance!

Phillips cannot get a clean punch away and it falls to Angus MacDonald, who smacks it, but Phillips makes a tremendous save from point-blank range.

Looked a lot worse that it was. Thought he'd headed the post at one point.
