Cardiff set to miss out on defender

The rumour mill has started early for next season.

We have been linked to numerous strikers and now it seems as though we have "missed out" on centre back Declan Gallagher from Motherwell.

Unless things change drastically I’d say central defenders aren’t particularly high on our list of targets. We have 4, all of whom are capable championship players and one of them is arguably the best defender in the league.

We have Morrison, Flint, Nelson and Brown already (all under contract and unlikely to be going anywhere).
Plus the new one - Pack. Who could be what we need, a defender who can pass a ball.
So I doubt that is an area that MM is looking at.

The only issue is Pack is better as the middle of the 3 and so is Flint, so they could be competing for the same place. Neither look comfortable on the right (or left) of a 3.

Fullbacks will hopefully be ok next season (surely last years bad luck cannot be repeated).
We have Bennett (assuming a new contract?), Bagan, Ng and Sang.

indeed...and these rumour sites are the worse for it..20 players a day all linked to multiple clubs who are apparently fighting it out.... . possibly run by agents ?
