Cardiff City approach Middlesbrough target


Cardiff City have reportedly approached Sheffield Wednesday attacking midfielder Josh Windass, who has been linked with a move to Middlesbrough in recent weeks.

Windass has played 40 Championship games this season for Wednesday, scoring nine times and providing five assists.

The Owls are 23rd in the Championship table with 40 points and one match to go. They look likely to be relegated to League One this season, and Windass may be looking for a move to stay in the Championship in the transfer window.

Stoke City are also interested in signing him, but Cardiff City seem to be ahead of them in the race for the 27-year-old.
