Sheffield United have confirmed they are investigating a video that claims to show Oli McBurnie involved in a physical altercation with a member of the public.

A video surfaced on social media late on Sunday night, featuring a man that the poster claims is the former Swansea City striker.

A confrontation then unfolds, which causes the camera to be knocked to the ground.

The man in the video then appears to stamp on the camera before punching and kicking the member of the public before walking away.

It has not been confirmed if it is McBurnie in the video. Sheffield United have confirmed they are aware of the footage, and have opened an investigation.

“Officials at Sheffield United are aware of the video circulating on social media and are currently investigating," a statement read.

McBurnie is currently on the sidelines after suffering a fracture in his foot during the 3-0 defeat at home to Arsenal last month, and is currently a doubt for Scotland's upcoming Euro 2020 campaign.
