BLADES SOUND OUT JOKANOVIC TO REPLACE WILDER

Sheffield United have sounded out former Fulham and Watford boss Slavisa Jokanovic about becoming their new manager.

Interim boss Paul Heckingbottom has won just one of his eight games in charge at Bramall Lane since Chris Wilder left the club by mutual consent in March.

Efforts to appoint former RB Leipzig Academy coach Alexander Blessin, who has impressed with Oostende in Belgium’s Jupiler League, were cut short over his abilities to gain a work permit.

Jokanovic is believed to be one of several managers sounded out by United and is available after recently ending two seasons in Qatar with Al-Gharafa.

The Serb gained promotion to the Premier League with both Fulham and Watford.
