Good idea to have a thread on the playoffs.

Championship - Swansea and Bournemouth have been in the Premier league recently, added to my dislike of the Jacks, means I would love Brentford or Barnsley to go up. Would love to see Barnsley in the premier League.

League 1 - well - I would love Sunderland to come up and play them next season.

League 2 - Newport County of course... would be great for Welsh football having another Welsh side higher up the leagues.

Every Cardiff Fan Are Routing For You Barnsley, Make Us Proud And Knock Out The Jacks. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
And as for the other match I fancy Brentford making it to the final because they out of the rest of the teams deserve there chance to get promoted. After missing out last season. And would love nothing more than to see fellow welsh sides Newport and Wrexham get promotion.

MY PREDICTION:
EFL Champ Play Off Final
(Wins) Brentford VS Barnsley

Barnsley look awful. Utter kick and rush rubbish with precious little quality. The Bournemouth v Brentford game had much more class. At least they looked Premier league quality. Sadly the Jacks are on the way to Wembley already though.

Not over until fat lady sings! Besides sound like that swans fan who thought team was promoted before end of season... but agree about Barnsley kick and rush game lacks any direction easy for swans to defend.

To be honest Swansea didn't play the ball on the floor much, both sides were just launching the ball as far forward as possible. It made some of our performances look Barcelona like. Seriously though I didn't see the Bournemouth v Brentford game,I think the winner of that game will win the Final. Where has the famous Swansea way of playing gone? Hopefully down the pan as we don't want Match of The Day CREAMING themselves over their style of play.

They played the way they've been doing most season total defence rely on ayew to score with minimal touches then when he does time waste kill game! But got to credit them it works .... not over yet though ... saw other game and football wise was streets ahead of this game!
Be interesting to see what happens with them next season? 5 or 6 loans and ayew gone if dont win promotion unless willing to renew contract on reported 80k a week .....

Barnsley will have to up their game tremendously if they want to turn this around.
All desire and work with very little skill, reminded me of us a bit.

Referee was poor but no surprise it's the same Eltringham who gave Fulham the soft free kick in injury time last year. They scored from the free kick and it turned out to be the goal to settle the semi final. Given the level of time wasting in that game 3 minutes injury time was scandalous. I cannot understand how the EFL can appoint such a poor referee to these games.

Having said that a dreadful game settled by the only real moment of quality from Ayew.

Lors of complaints about standard of refereeing this season saying its extremely poor.... time wasting as soon as 2nd half started...... as for ayew only thing did all night of note but defender must half had mental block as every man and his dog knows he will score let him come inside was simple job to make him go wide really poor defending.. but not over yet as Barnsley have won 2 playoff games after losing at home 1st. . :old:

Still a very good advantage to take into their second leg.

They'll think if they can get an early goal it's more or less job done.

To be fair, I didn't watch it. Watched the Chelsea v Leicester game but saw clips of Newport's goals.

Just had a look and he didn't play, stayed on the bench.
