He might turn out to be good lets hope so but he has been with Burnley for a few years and has only been good enough to play for them twice despite being no youngster and of his loan spells in England they were all to league one clubs.Is it significant that despite being on loan several times the last club he was on loan to was Fleetwood a very ordinary league one club. If he was really promising should his last loan spell have been to a championship club even if it's a crap one like Rotherham.

Always remember signing a young Peter Whittingham around the same age for a fee. Turned out to be one of the best players we’ve ever had. If he becomes half as good as Peter we will have a great player on our hands.

Yep, clubs in our position sometimes have to a take risk on unproven players. At 24 this guy will know this is a make or break move for him and will have something to prove.

If he has talent and the right attitude he will make it, if he lacks either of those then he won't ............... it's just how football works.

Sometimes a player needs the right move at the right time. Danny Drinkwater was on loan to us and just average, a couple of years later he played a key role in Leicester winning the Premiership and got a multi-million pound move to Chelsea !!

Let's give this guy a chance and see what happens.

MM been around long enough to know what he wants. If he is running the show then let's trust his considerable judgement and see what transpires.

Good day 62r! For some reason some supporters like to get their digs in early? As you say season just ended, yet the knockers are out already! In saying that, I did say no to hernandez from leeds, but he is 37!! I wonder sometimes, how a player who signs for us feels when reading the negativity from some on here(assuming some do read the board) before the ink has dried on their contract! Lets all get behind the manager & any new signings, its very early days, and silly season is upon us.
