It is increasingly unlikely Sheffield Wednesday defender Osaze Urhoghide will sign a new contract with Watford and Cardiff City ready to pounce, according to Football League World.
The centre back's contract is up at Hillsborough this summer and it now looks likely he will become a free transfer, with many Championship clubs expected to be interested in the 20-year-old's services.
In fact, FLW claim that clubs in the Championship, Premier League and even two foreign sides are monitoring the situation.
It is thought Urhoghide has been offered fresh terms but talks have hit an impasse and the likes of Cardiff and Watford are reportedly beginning to circle.
The youngster joined the Yorkshire outfit from Wimbledon just two years ago, so any compensation to prise him away is expected to be minimal..
We are still awaiting Cardiff's own retained list, however if Sol Bamba does not pen a new deal then Cardiff might well be in the market to bolster their options at the back.
