Bluebirds to battle clutch of Championship clubs for Northern Ireland star
07/06/2021
Cardiff City are reportedly among a glut of Championship clubs ready to snap up Northern Ireland international Kyle Lafferty on a free transfer.
According to Football League World, West Brom, Cardiff, Middlesbrough, Derby, Birmingham, Ipswich and Wigan are all thought to be taking a look at Lafferty, who turns 34 in September.
The striker has 13 clubs to his name, the most recent of which being Kilmarnock, for whom he scored 13 goals in 13 appearances in all competitions.
Cardiff have already added to their striker stable this summer, having announced the capture of James Collins on a free transfer from Luton Town.
However, it is likely they are bracing themselves for the possibility that Kieffer Moore departs. Both the club and Mick McCarthy, though, hope that won't be the case.
