Celtic are reportedly close to landing Sunderland striker and Cardiff City target Charlie Wyke.

The forward scored 31 goals for the Black Cats last season but is out of contract at the Stadium of Light this summer, causing something of a scramble for his signature.

Cardiff have been mentioned in the mix along with Middlesbrough and CSKA Moscow, however recent reports claim he will reject their advances in favour of a move to Scotland.

The Northern Echo claim that the 28-year-old is nearing a move to Parkhead following the appointment of new manager Ange Postecoglou.

Cardiff have already brought in James Collins on a free transfer, however it appears they still harbour an interest in recruiting another striker before this window is through.
