Wembley crowds to grow

Wembley will be permitted to host at least 40,000 fans for matches as the tournament progresses following the latest announcement from the UK Government, according to AP.

At present, only 22,500 fans, which amounts to 25% of the stadium's capacity, can watch games at the London venue.

However, it's reported that the capacity will significantly increase later on in the tournament - with the semi-finals and final potentially seeing 50% of the stadium full.

“We want to gather further evidence on how we can open up all big events safely, and for good,” Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden said.

Fans attending games at Wembley must provide a negative coronavirus test or show proof of vaccination.

Meanwhile, here in Wales, Drakeford is giving serious thought to allowing three men and a dog to watch a game of football in the park rather than the current two man restriction.

"We'll do what's best for the people of Wales" said the country's popular dictator, who's yet again been voted "Most stylish man in Wales" by the National Institute for the Blind.
